Prima Klima K2603 is an Eco Line carbon odour filter with a 150 mm flange and a 3 cm bed of CTC75 activated carbon. It reliably removes odour from extract at a flow rate of up to 900 m3/h, suitable, approximately, for a 120x120 cm tent or a smaller grow room.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Prima Klima K2603 - clean extract without odour (150 mm flange)

Four kilos of carbon in the long body of the K2603 with a 150 mm flange reliably cleans the extract from a small grow room without the slightest odour. The carbon odour filter Prima Klima K2603 from the Eco Line range captures odour molecules in a 3 cm deep bed of highly active carbon, so only clean air without odour leaves the extract. The 150 mm flange connects to ducting and a fan of the same diameter - keep the filter, ducting and fan at one 150 mm diameter. It can handle, approximately, a 120x120 cm tent or a smaller grow room at a flow rate of up to 900 m3/h (optimally around 700 m3/h).

How the carbon filter works

Activated carbon works like a battery: air passes through the carbon bed and organic odour molecules are captured in its microporous structure. Quality is determined by the CTC value and iodine number (how many substances the carbon absorbs), together with the bed thickness - the longer the air is in contact with the carbon, the better the odour is broken down. Prima Klima fills Eco Line with anthracite CTC75 pellets (3 mm), which have low pressure resistance and also cope well with higher humidity. Once exhausted, the carbon can be topped up or replaced; the filter does not need to be thrown away as a whole.

Technical parameters

  • Flange diameter: 150 mm
  • Maximum flow rate: 900 m3/h
  • Optimal flow rate: 700 m3/h
  • Filter diameter: 230 mm
  • Length without flange: 650 mm
  • Activated carbon: 4.0 kg (CTC75, 3 cm bed layer)
  • Weight: 6.9 kg
  • Dust pre-filter included
  • Carbon lifespan: depends on load and flow rate (higher flow rate = shorter lifespan), approximately months to over a year in normal operation
  • Horizontal and vertical installation; operating temperature 10 to 70 °C

Which fan and tent it suits

Choose a 150 mm fan with an output of up to 900 m3/h - for example the Prima Klima 150 mm fan. The filter is suitable, approximately, for a 120x120 cm tent or a smaller grow room. You can easily calculate the required flow rate: multiply the room volume (length x width x height in metres) by 60 and compare the result with the filter's maximum output. It is compatible with any 150 mm fan with a suitable output; in the Eco Line range it is followed by the smaller K2602 620 m3/h larger K2604 1000 m3/h.

Frequently asked questions

Which filter is suitable for my fan and tent?

Diameter and flow rate matter: the filter flange matches the diameter of the fan and ducting, here 150 mm. This model can handle, approximately, a 120x120 cm tent or a smaller grow room and a flow rate of up to 900 m3/h. A larger filter means more carbon and a longer lifespan, while a smaller one saves space.

How long does the carbon last?

Lifespan depends on load and flow rate - a higher flow rate means a shorter lifespan (roughly double the flow rate = half the lifespan), approximately months to over a year in normal operation. Therefore, run the filter only when odour is noticeable, and rather reduce the flow rate; the carbon will then last significantly longer.

Can the carbon be replaced?

Yes, the filter is refillable - once the carbon is exhausted, simply top up or replace the filling and the filter body continues to serve. Vacuum the pre-filter occasionally; this will extend the carbon's lifespan. You can find other sizes among the carbon filters.
