Product detailed description
Prima Klima K2602 - clean, odour-free extraction (160 mm flange)
The highly sought-after K2602 with a 160 mm connection fits more powerful 160 mm fans and maintains clean extraction throughout the season. The Prima Klima K2602 carbon odour filter from the Eco Line captures odour molecules in a 3 cm bed of highly activated carbon, so only clean, odour-free air leaves the extraction system. The 160 mm flange connects to ducting and a fan of the same diameter - keep the filter, ducting and fan at one diameter of 160 mm. It is suitable approximately for a 100 x 100 to 120 x 120 cm tent at an airflow of up to 620 m3/h (optimally around 475 m3/h).
How the carbon filter works
Activated carbon works like a battery: air passes through the carbon bed and organic odour molecules are captured in its microporous structure. Quality is determined by the CTC value and iodine number (how much material the carbon absorbs), together with the bed thickness - the longer the air remains in contact with the carbon, the more effectively odours are removed. Prima Klima fills the Eco Line with anthracite CTC75 pellets (3 mm), which have low pressure resistance and also cope well with higher humidity. Once exhausted, the carbon can be topped up or replaced; the entire filter does not need to be discarded.

Which fan and tent is it suitable for?
Choose a 160 mm fan with an output of up to 620 m3/h - for example, a Prima Klima 160 mm fan. The filter is suitable approximately for a 100 x 100 to 120 x 120 cm tent. You can easily calculate the required airflow: multiply the room volume (length x width x height in metres) by 60 and compare the result with the filter's maximum output. It is compatible with any 160 mm fan with a corresponding output; within the Eco Line, it is complemented by the 150 mm version and the larger K2603 900 m3/h.
Frequently asked questions
Which filter is suitable for my fan and tent?
The diameter and airflow are decisive: the filter flange must match the diameter of the fan and ducting, in this case 160 mm. This model is suitable approximately for a 100 x 100 to 120 x 120 cm tent and an airflow of up to 620 m3/h. A larger filter means more carbon and a longer service life, while a smaller one saves space.
How long does the carbon last?
Service life depends on the load and airflow - higher airflow means a shorter service life (roughly twice the airflow = half the service life), approximately from several months to over a year under normal operation. Therefore, run the filter only when odour is noticeable and preferably reduce the airflow; the carbon will then last significantly longer.
Can the carbon be replaced?
Yes, the filter is refillable - once the carbon is exhausted, simply top up or replace the filling and the filter body can continue to be used. Vacuum the pre-filter occasionally to extend the carbon's service life. You can find other sizes among the carbon filters.
