Prima Klima K2600 FLAT - clean odour-free extract (100 mm flange)

The shortened flat body of the K2600 FLAT with a 100 mm flange fits even where there is no room for a conventional tall filter. The Prima Klima K2600 FLAT carbon odour filter from the Eco Line range captures odour molecules in a 3 cm-deep bed of highly active carbon, so only clean, odour-free air leaves the extract system. The 100 mm flange connects to ducting and a fan of the same diameter - keep the filter, ducting and fan at one diameter of 100 mm. It is suitable for a low tent of approximately up to 80 x 80 cm with an airflow of up to 250 m3/h (ideally around 200 m3/h).

How a carbon filter works

Activated carbon works like a battery: air passes through the carbon bed and organic odour molecules are captured in its microporous structure. Quality is determined by the CTC value and iodine number (how much material the carbon can absorb), together with the bed thickness - the longer the air remains in contact with the carbon, the better the odour is removed. For its Eco Line, Prima Klima uses anthracite CTC75 pellets (3 mm), which have low pressure resistance and cope well with higher humidity. Once exhausted, the carbon can be topped up or replaced; the entire filter does not need to be discarded.

Which fan and tent is it suitable for?

Choose a 100 mm fan with an output of up to 250 m3/h - for example, a Prima Klima 100 mm fan. The filter is suitable for a low tent of approximately up to 80 x 80 cm. You can easily calculate the required airflow: multiply the room volume (length x width x height in metres) by 60 and compare the result with the filter's maximum output. It is compatible with any 100 mm fan with a suitable output; within the Eco Line range, it is followed by the larger FLAT K2601 440 m3/h and the standard K2600 360 m3/h.

Diameter and airflow are decisive: the filter flange must match the diameter of the fan and ducting, here 100 mm. This model is suitable for a low tent of approximately up to 80 x 80 cm and an airflow of up to 250 m3/h. A larger filter means more carbon and a longer service life, while a smaller one saves space.

How long does the carbon last?

Service life depends on the load and airflow - higher airflow means a shorter service life (roughly double the airflow = half the service life), approximately several months to over a year under normal operation. Therefore, run the filter only when odour can be detected and reduce the airflow where possible; the carbon will then last significantly longer.

Can the carbon be replaced?
