Prima Klima K2601 FLAT is an Eco Line carbon odour filter with a 125 mm flange and a 3 cm bed of CTC75 activated carbon. It reliably removes odour from extraction at airflow up to 440 m3/h, approximately for a low tent 80x80 to 100x100 cm.

Detailed information

Product detailed description

Prima Klima K2601 FLAT - clean odour-free extraction (125 mm flange)

The flat K2601 FLAT with 125 mm connection combines a decent airflow of 440 m3/h with a compact height for low tents. The carbon odour filter Prima Klima K2601 FLAT from the Eco Line range captures odour molecules in a 3 cm deep bed of highly active carbon, so only clean air without odour leaves the extraction. The 125 mm flange connects to ducting and a fan of the same diameter - keep the filter, ducting and fan at the same 125 mm diameter. It is suitable, approximately, for a low tent 80x80 to 100x100 cm at an airflow of up to 440 m3/h (optimally around 360 m3/h).

How the carbon filter works

Activated carbon works like a battery: air passes through the carbon bed and organic odour molecules are captured in its microporous structure. Quality is determined by the CTC value and iodine number (how many substances the carbon absorbs), together with the thickness of the bed - the longer the air is in contact with the carbon, the better the odour is broken down. Prima Klima fills the Eco Line with anthracite CTC75 pellets (3 mm), which have low resistance to airflow and also cope well with higher humidity. Once the carbon is exhausted, it can be topped up or replaced; the whole filter is not thrown away.

Technical parameters

  • Flange diameter: 125 mm
  • Maximum airflow: 440 m3/h
  • Optimal airflow: 360 m3/h
  • Filter diameter: 230 mm
  • Length without flange: 250 mm
  • Activated carbon: 1.6 kg (CTC75, 3 cm bed layer)
  • Weight: 3.0 kg
  • Dust pre-filter included in the package (K2701)
  • Carbon lifespan: depends on load and airflow (higher airflow = shorter lifespan), approximately months to over a year in normal operation
  • Horizontal and vertical installation; operating temperature 10 to 70 °C

Which fan and tent it suits

Choose a 125 mm fan with an output of up to 440 m3/h - for example the Prima Klima 125 mm fan. The filter is suitable, approximately, for a low tent 80x80 to 100x100 cm. You can easily calculate the required airflow: multiply the room volume (length x width x height in metres) by 60 and compare the result with the maximum output of the filter. It is compatible with any 125 mm fan with a suitable output; in the Eco Line range it is followed by the smaller FLAT K2600 250 m3/h standard K2601 480 m3/h.

Frequently asked questions

Which filter suits my fan and tent?

Diameter and airflow matter: the filter flange matches the diameter of the fan and ducting, here 125 mm. This model is suitable, approximately, for a low tent 80x80 to 100x100 cm and an airflow of up to 440 m3/h. A larger filter means more carbon and a longer lifespan, while a smaller one saves space.

How long does the carbon last?

Lifespan depends on load and airflow - higher airflow means a shorter lifespan (roughly double the airflow = half the lifespan), approximately months to over a year in normal operation. Therefore, run the filter only when odour is present, and slow the airflow down rather than speeding it up; the carbon will then last significantly longer.

Can the carbon be replaced?

Yes, the filter is refillable - once the carbon is exhausted, simply top up or replace the filling and the filter body continues to serve. Vacuum the pre-filter occasionally to extend the lifespan of the carbon. You can find other sizes among the carbon filters.
