Overdrive is a flowering booster from Advanced Nutrients for the often underestimated final weeks of flowering. It is applied in the final stage and triggers a second wave of flowering just when the plant would normally start to slow down - it is a tool for bringing the crop to completion.

How Overdrive works

Overdrive shifts the nutrient ratio into the final phase of flowering: with NPK 1-5-4, it supplies a high proportion of phosphorus and magnesium (Mg) for energy transfer during ripening. The benefit lies in the timing - in the last weeks, when there is a risk of slowdown, it gives the plant a fresh boost to form and fill flowers again, instead of just finishing off.

Dosage and use

You add Overdrive to the flowering base at a rate of 2 ml per litre during the last 2 to 3 weeks of flowering (according to the dosage chart, weeks 6 and 7), then you switch to flushing. It is the final step of boosters, not a full-cycle supplement - it comes in only after Big Bud.

Overdrive and Big Bud are not competitors - Big Bud addresses early to mid flowering (weeks 2-5), Overdrive the final 2 to 3 weeks. The flowering phase is opened by Bud Ignitor (weeks 1-2). These are three time windows that follow on from one another. After Overdrive comes flushing with Flawless Finish. The flowering base is supplied by Sensi Bloom A+B.
