Aeroponics in a compact box

CultiMate AeroFarm 2" (formerly sold as GHE AeroFarm) is an entry-level aeroponic system for 1 to 5 plants. Instead of substrate, it holds plants in net pots and their roots hang freely in the chamber, where nozzles spray them with nutrient solution. It is suitable for rooting cuttings, keeping mother plants and running the entire growing cycle of smaller crops.

How AeroFarm works

It is a substrate aeroponics system with a shared 45 l tank (the same as with CultiMate L). Nozzles in the distribution system spray nutrient solution directly onto the roots, giving them maximum oxygen and nutrients at once. You practically do not need clay pebbles - just a few pieces as support. Smaller 2" baskets with a diameter of 5 cm mean more growing sites for smaller seedlings and cuttings.

The box is rotationally moulded in France from recycled plastic with light and UV shielding, which prevents algae growth in the tank.

Which basket size to choose

The 2" version with baskets 5 cm in diameter is ideal for cuttings, seedlings and smaller plants, of which you can fit more. If you want to grow more robust plants with a larger root collar, choose the AeroFarm 3" version with larger baskets. If you already own the CultiMate L (AquaFarm) system, you can convert it to aeroponics with a conversion kit.

No, that is the point of aeroponics. Plants are held in net pots and the roots hang freely in the chamber, where they are sprayed with nutrient solution by the nozzles. You practically do not use any substrate - at most a few pieces of clay pebbles as support so the seedling stands upright. The roots thus have constant access to oxygen and nutrients.

What is AeroFarm 2" best suited for?

The 2" version with smaller baskets excels with cuttings, seedlings and mother plants, where you will appreciate more growing sites in one box. It can also handle the complete cycle of smaller crops, such as herbs or chilli. For more robust plants, choose the 3" version with larger baskets.
