The Hydro systems from Terra Aquatica (formerly General Hydroponics) work on the principle of individual drip irrigation - each plant has its own unit with a nutrient solution supply, so watering and feeding can be adjusted separately according to the needs of the specific plant.
CultiMate S (dimensions 30x30x37 cm) and the larger CultiMate L (46x46x43 cm) are universal units suitable for indoor and outdoor growing in any substrate. The CultiMate L range also includes a Solar version with a solar panel for growers without easy access to a power socket.
WaterPack ACS is a smaller practical system that is easy to install and suitable for most types of interiors.
The advantage of drip irrigation over conventional manual watering is a uniform and repeatable supply of nutrients - this reduces the risk of overwatering or, conversely, underfeeding the plant. The systems can be combined with Terra Aquatica fertilisers mixed directly for hydroponic growing.
