The thermostat-free Urban Heater 120 W tubular heater is primarily designed for growers and keepers of small animals.
It is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses, grow boxes and other grow spaces.

It is particularly useful when caring for seedlings and cuttings during winter and the colder months.

For complete control over the grow space, it is ideal to combine the Urban Heater with the KT3100 thermostat or the CLI-MATE Thermostat 16A - temperature controller.

When and why should you use a heater for indoor growing?
Please note that it is not possible to state precisely how long it will take to heat the grow space or what temperature it will reach. The manufacturer does not provide this information. This is because the resulting temperature is affected not only by the heater’s power consumption, but also by the initial temperature and, above all, the size of the space. The ambient temperature and the quality of the thermal insulation inside the space also have an effect.

If the initial temperature inside a 100x100x200 cm grow box (space of 2 m³) is, for example, 10° C and you want to raise it to 20° C, this will take some time depending on the conditions. If you want to heat a 200x200x200 cm grow box (space of 8 m³) from 10° to 20° C, it will take approximately four times longer with the same output. With a heater with lower power consumption, you will most likely not manage it at all.

Moreover, when growing, it is not necessary to heat the entire space to the maximum at all times.

The most important thing is a constant temperature around the plants themselves. Therefore, heating elements are mainly used to maintain a stable temperature.

What never to do with the Urban Heater:
- do not switch it on until it has been installed correctly
- keep it out of the reach of children and pets
- do not handle it while the heater is connected to the mains
- do not immerse it in water
- do not leave the cable draped over the heating element
- do not install the heater near flammable or combustible objects
- disconnect it from the mains when it is not in use
- use only a damp, clean cloth for cleaning
