How to dose Guanokalong fertilisers? We have a guide for you!

• Guanokalong fertilisers are suitable for soil and coco coir substrates; for hydroponics, we recommend only Guanokalong Extract or BatBoost
• Dose organic Guanokalong fertilisers according to the plants’ needs and the recommendations in the table
• Solid fertilisers release nutrients gradually, so they do not need to be applied every week
• Loose fertilisers are mixed into the soil before transplanting the plant; subsequent doses are mixed only into the top layer of the substrate
• Guanokalong dosing tables differ depending on whether you want to use only solid or liquid fertilisers, or combine them. 

When to add more and when to reduce the dose? 

• You can temporarily reduce the intensity of fertilisation if you notice typical symptoms associated with an excess of nutrients. This is most often indicated by yellowing leaves, spots on their edges or a white surface on the substrate.
• If you notice that the plant is suffering from a nutrient deficiency, it is advisable to start applying slightly more fertiliser. If the plant grows unhealthily slowly and its leaves are smaller than is usual for the species, it may be undernourished. In this case, you can try increasing the intensity of fertilisation and observe whether this has a positive effect on the plant and whether it starts to thrive.
• Remember that dosing tables are only recommendations. Different varieties in different climates have different needs, so do not be afraid to adapt fertilisation accordingly. Gardening produces the best results when you pay attention to the plants and respond to their needs.

GUANOKALONG DOSING TABLES - SOLID FERTILISERS

- If you want to combine liquid and solid fertilisers, halve the dose

Basic dosing table for solid fertilisers

In the standard dosing table, you will find instructions for using Vegetal Fertiliser, a balanced fertiliser for healthy growth, High Phos Powder which is a rich source of phosphorus, Veg Pearls - a growth fertiliser with a high nitrogen and potassium content, Seaweed Powder which improves the plants’ natural defences and supplies trace elements, and Palm Tree Ash - an organic flowering stimulator.

Week 1 of the growth phase

- mix the fertilisers into the substrate before planting (the values are in grams per litre of soil)

Vegetal Fertiliser: 8 g
High Phos Powder: 3 g
Veg Pearls: 3 g
Seaweed Powder: 5 g

- one application of fertilisers is sufficient for the entire growth phase

Week 1 of the flowering phase

- sprinkle the fertiliser over the soil and gently mix it into the top layer of the substrate so that you do not damage the roots
- apply the same quantity of fertiliser as in the first week of growth

Vegetal Fertiliser: 8 g
High Phos Powder: 3 g
Veg Pearls: 3 g
Seaweed Powder: 5 g

Week 2 of the flowering phase

- add the organic flowering stimulator Palm Tree Ash at a quantity of 3 g / 1 l
- apply it to the top layer of the substrate

Week 4 of the flowering phase

- add High Phos Powder with its high phosphorus content at a quantity of 3 g / 1 l
- apply it to the top layer of the substrate

 Week 5 of the flowering phase

- add a further 2 g / 1 l of the flowering stimulator Palm Tree Ash - apply it to the top layer of the substrate

 Water the plants with clean water.

 

Advanced dosing table for solid fertilisers

In the advanced table, you will find the main products in the Guanokalong range. The foundation consists of Guanokalong Powder made from bat guano, a mixture of volcanic rock and worm castings, Lava Worm Powder, an extract from sugar cane and other plants, Veg Pearls, Palm Tree Ash made from the ash of Sumatran palms, seaweed extract Seaweed Powder and Black Pellets, which combine the benefits of guano and humic acids.

This provides comprehensive nutrition, ensuring that the plants lack nothing. At the same time, you can use a purely organic fertiliser from sources that humanity has used for cultivation for centuries.

Week 1 of the growth phase

Veg Pearls: 3 g
Seaweed Powder: 5 g
Black Pellets: 8 g

- the nutrient supply will be sufficient for the plants throughout the entire growth phase

- apply it to the top layer of the substrate

Week 4 of the flowering phase

- add High Phos Powder with its high phosphorus content at a quantity of 3 g / 1 l
- apply it to the top layer of the substrate

 Week 5 of the flowering phase

- add a further 2 g / 1 l of the flowering stimulator Palm Tree Ash
- apply it to the top layer of the substrate

 Water the plants with clean water.

 

COMBINED DOSING TABLES (LIQUID + SOLID FERTILISERS)

If you want to use both liquid and solid Guanokalong fertilisers, you can either fertilise according to the plants’ needs and your own judgement (in which case we recommend using half doses), or you can follow one of the two official tables

Dosing table  - liquid + solid fertilisers - 10-week flowering period 

The absolute basics are three solid fertilisers: Guanokalong Powder made from bat guano, an extract from sugar cane and other plants, Veg Pearls and Palm Tree Ash made from the ash of Sumatran palms. The doses have already been calculated for the most commonly used plant pots. If you want to stimulate the plants to achieve even better growth, you can add the liquid product Kalong Grow for the growth phase, which is then replaced during flowering by Kalong Bloom. The BatBoost stimulator encourages excellent plant health and high yields. Advanced growers can use Seaweed Powder as a natural source of trace elements.

The table assumes that you either plant the cuttings in 6-7 l plant pots and transplant them into larger ones at the beginning of the flowering phase, or grow the plants in 11 l plant pots for the entire cycle.

Dosing table  - liquid + solid fertilisers - 8-week flowering period 

This table contains the recommended quantity of substrate per litre of substrate and, in the case of liquid fertilisers, per litre of watering solution. The basic fertiliser that will nourish the plant during both the growth and flowering phases is the solid fertiliser Complete Organics or the liquid fertiliser Florizon. As supplementary fertilisers, you can choose the liquid seaweed extract Seaweed Liquid or its powdered version, Seaweed Powder, and the stimulator BatBoost, which improves crop quality.

 

Dosing tables - liquid fertilisers

The basic liquid fertilisers are the growth fertiliser Kalong Grow and the flowering fertiliser Kalong Bloom. Florizon supports root and flower growth and supplies the plant with the necessary amino acids. Seaweed Liquid is an extract from seaweed containing trace elements essential for healthy growth. For even better plant health (and yield!), you can also use the supplements Guanokalong Boost or Guanokalong Extract (it is recommended to use only one of them), which improve the taste, quality and volume of the fruit.
