Detailed information

Product detailed description

UGro XL RHIZA is a brick made from pressed peat and dehydrated coco coir. The brick weighs 5kg when dry, but when you soak it, it swells into 70l of growing medium. The resulting substrate is high-quality with a very small percentage of fibres. The substrate contains 5% of endomycorrhizal fungi (Trichoderma) - beneficial fungi which live in symbiosis with plant roots. The fungi supply the plant with more water and minerals and support the development of the root system.

Coco coir is a product manufactured by crushing and processing coconut shells. It's popular among growers because of its amazing water retention qualities and aeration. Coco coir is antibacterial, very clean and fully biodegradable.

Features:

  • Healthy root ball and an extensive root system
  • Better water retention
  • Improves nutrient absorption
  • Boosts natural immune system - coco and mycorrhizae keep the plant healthy, resistant to stress, pests and diseases
  • Small size - you don't have to lug around a large bag of substrate
  • Light - easier and cheaper transport
  • Buffered and twice washed with salt water

Use:
- soak the brick in 18l of water
- wait for several hours until the substrate is ready

pH: 5,5 - 6,5.
EC (1:1,5): < 0,6 mS/cm.
