Slowed plant growth is often caused by a lack of CO2; in insufficiently ventilated growing systems, this deficiency can be a really serious problem. CO2 tablets supply CO2 directly to plant roots and significantly accelerate growth.
Only healthy plants are able to absorb and use the CO2 supplied by these tablets. During long-term, careful testing, the manufacturer found that accelerated growth can cause a magnesium (Mg) deficiency. The tablets therefore contain 1.2% magnesium sulphate. The tablets release CO2 into the growing solution and thus support growth. Healthy plants can absorb much more CO2 than is available in the atmosphere.
Warning: Adding CO2 immediately before or during the period without lighting (night) is unnecessary! Photosynthesis does not take place without light. The tablets release CO2 over the course of 4 to 6 hours after application.
Usage: For healthy plants (including cuttings), apply 1 tablet per 50 litres of water. Drop the tablet into the tank 30 minutes before adding fertilisers. The tablets may temporarily reduce the pH value of the solution. In hydroponic systems, the tablets can be added directly to the tank containing the solution. Increased dosing is not harmful, but provides no additional effect.

Using CO2 Tabs is environmentally friendly and does not cause any harm to plants, pets, birds, insects or microorganisms. Adding CO2 Tabs typically causes a slight drop in the pH of the solution, so we recommend paying increased attention to the pH level of the solution. An extremely high or low CO2 level affects the plants’ ability to absorb nutrients from the solution.
