What is BN-Zym and how does it work?

BN-Zym is an advanced natural biocatalyst whose strength lies in a highly concentrated complex of specific enzymes. Enzymes are specialised proteins that act as accelerators of biochemical processes. While the chemical conversion of sugar into alcohol can take weeks, enzymes can do it in a few seconds - and without any by-products.

This product contains a powerful cocktail of enzymes such as cellulase, xylanase, beta-glucanase, pectinase and amylase. Their task is to actively seek out and break down dead root matter, unused fertiliser residues and other organic material in the substrate. Instead of allowing this waste to become a breeding ground for mould and pathogens, BN-Zym rapidly converts it into valuable, immediately absorbable nutrients (sugars and minerals) that the plant can use straight away.

Instructions for use and dosage

BN-Zym is a universal additive suitable for the entire growing cycle, from the first week of growth until the last week before harvest. It is fully mixable with all fertilisers and additives, including the main fertilisers Soil Supermix and Coco Forte A+B as well as the booster PK 13-14. Apply it exclusively as a root drench; it is not intended for foliar spraying.

• Soil and coconut substrates: Dose at a ratio of 3 ml per 10 litres of water.
• Hydroponic and aeroponic systems: Dose at a ratio of 5 ml per 10 litres of water.

Tips from professional growers

• Revitalising used substrate: After harvest, do not throw away old soil or coconut. Thoroughly flush it with a BN-Zym solution at a concentration of 5-10 ml per 10 litres of water. The enzymes will break down the remaining roots and salts and prepare the medium for the next growing cycle.
• Speeding up flushing: To achieve the cleanest possible taste and odour of your harvest, use BN-Zym during the last 7-10 days of flowering. The enzymes will help break down residual nutrients from the plant and substrate more effectively.
