Aqua Master Tools W650 PRO monitors the tank for you. Instead of walking to the solution with a manual metre every morning, it sends pH, EC, TDS, PPM and temperature readings via Wi-Fi to the mobile app—and when a value exceeds the set alarm threshold, a notification is sent to your phone.

Important before purchase: the product has no built-in display and must be connected to a mobile phone or tablet via the app. Without a smartphone or tablet and stable Wi-Fi, you cannot read the values.

Measurements run continuously, and automatic temperature compensation keeps values comparable throughout the day. The monitor uses the 700 PPM scale—bear this in mind when comparing it with a pen showing the 500 scale, because the same EC produces a different number on each scale.

What the app can do

The app combines controls and a display in one. It shows live values and graphs and stores data history for up to 1 year, so you can look back and find out when the solution began to drift. You can set an upper and lower alarm for each parameter; the app guides you through calibration step by step and reminds you when it is time to repeat it. You can name individual devices and add a note to each one, so even in an operation with several tanks you know which value comes from where—in one app, you can have an unlimited number of Aqua Master Tools devices. The monitor body has an integrated holder for a phone or tablet, so you have the screen close at hand while working by the tank.

Calibration and electrode care

pH can be calibrated at one, two or three points at values of 4.0, 7.0 and 10.0 pH; EC at one point using a 1.4, 3.0 or 12.88 EC solution. For a growing operation, two-point pH calibration is sufficient: with pH 4 calibration solution and pH 7 solution, and for EC with EC 1.413 solution. We do not offer pH 10.0 solution for the third point, and you do not need it for nutrient solutions—the third point only makes sense where you also measure in the alkaline range. All electrodes, including pH, EC, PPM, TDS and temperature electrodes, are fully replaceable, so wear to one probe does not mean the end of the entire monitor. Do not allow the glass pH electrode to dry out; when not in use, store it in KCl storage solution.

Who it is suitable for

The W650 PRO is designed for a tank that you mix and that needs to last for days. It is most commonly found in hydroponics and horticulture, where it monitors the nutrient solution in a reservoir tank as well as drainage water flowing from tables, but it is equally useful with an aquarium and pond or in a water treatment system; thanks to continuous recording, it is also used in laboratories and industrial process control. Continuous monitoring is particularly valuable where a morning reading from a pen tells you too late what has happened: the pH in the tank changes on its own and EC rises as water evaporates. If you need to measure in pressurised piping, choose the W650 PRO Inline version; if the device should also adjust the values automatically, you need the C800 PRO controller with dosing units.

Frequently asked questions

Can the W650 PRO dose pH or nutrients?

No. The W650 PRO is a monitor—it measures, records and alerts you when a limit is exceeded, but it does not add anything to the solution itself. If you want pH or EC to be adjusted automatically using peristaltic pumps, you need a C800 PRO series controller with C10, C20 or C30 dosing units.

Does the monitor work without a phone?

No. The W650 PRO has no built-in display, so values are shown exclusively in the Aqua Master Tools app on a phone or tablet running Android 8.0 or iOS 12 and newer, respectively. The monitor requires a stable local Wi-Fi network; you can then monitor the data from anywhere, not just within range of the tank. The measured values are saved and remain available for later review.
