150 mm Airflow Silencer for Ducting Routes

AC Infinity Inline Duct Silencer DSA6 is an aluminium/stainless-steel silencer (muffler) that is inserted directly into a ventilation ducting route with a diameter of 6"—typically between an inline fan and another section of ducting in a medium-sized setup. Unlike a coupling, which dampens vibrations at just one connection, DSA6 reduces airflow noise (whoosh) along the entire length occupied by the installation.

How the Silencing Works

Inside the body is wave-crest-shaped (wave crest / egg crate) neoprene foam, which absorbs sound waves generated by fan vibrations and airflow. It reduces fan noise by up to 50% while maintaining airflow—the silencer works for both intake and extract. Two aluminium/stainless-steel flanges further absorb vibrations at the connection point.
