Airflow Silencer for 150 mm Ducting

AC Infinity Inline Duct Silencer DSA6 is an aluminium/stainless steel silencer (muffler) that is inserted directly into a 6" ventilation duct run – typically between an inline fan and another section of ducting in a medium-sized setup. Unlike a coupler, which only dampens vibrations at a single connection, the DSA6 reduces airflow noise (whoosh) along the entire length occupied by the installation.

How the silencing works

Inside the housing is wave crest / egg crate-shaped neoprene foam, which absorbs sound waves generated by fan vibrations and airflow. It reduces fan noise by up to 50% while maintaining airflow – the silencer works for both intake and exhaust. Two aluminium/stainless steel flanges further absorb vibrations at the connection points.
