Smart CO2 is a safe, natural and effective way of producing CO2 (carbon dioxide) for the needs of your cultivated plants. Other methods such as generators or CO2 tanks can be too costly and time-consuming. Once the bag has been hung correctly above the plant, you do not need any further maintenance.

Plants use a process called photosynthesis, which changes water, sunlight and CO2 into the basic materials that help their growth and overall nutrition. With more CO2 in the air, plants are more active and efficient at absorbing it. Faster conversion of CO2 results in faster and more intensive plant growth. Also, plants absorb CO2 through small pores on the underside of leaves, known as stomata. When the CO2 level is higher, plants do not need to open these pores so often, or so widely, which results in less water loss and a reduced likelihood of absorbing critically harmful air pollutants.

How does Smart CO2 work?
- It contains mycelia (fungi) and a sufficient amount of organic substrate for at least 6 weeks.
- The mycelia work in reverse, breathing in oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide 24 hours a day through the vent on the bag.
- This creates a natural, self-sufficient and cost-effective odour-free CO2 system.
- The Smart CO2 bag does not produce heat and produces CO2 only when in use.
- Simply hang it up and the bag will do its job!

How do you use the Smart CO2 bag?
- After purchase, the bag needs to be hung in the growing area, just above plant height.
- Several holes need to be made in the top of the bag.
- We recommend one CO2 bag for an area of 1.2 x 1.2 m.
- Because CO2 is heavier than oxygen, it will fall down onto the plants.
- Once it is hung at the required height, you do not need to make any adjustments or refill the bag.
- After about 6 weeks, CO2 production will slowly decrease, and you will need to replace the bag.

The plastic packaging can be recycled.
