Root Pouch Boxer BROWN
Roots need air as much as water - and Root Pouch Boxer BROWN fabric pots give them exactly that. The breathable walls prevent overheating and root deformation, and they are suitable for plants of all sizes, from seedlings in the 3.8-litre format to mature shrubs and trees in the 127-litre container.

Root Pouch Boxer BROWN is a fabric pot in an earthy brown finish, suitable from propagation right through to the final container for large plants. Unlike plastic, its breathable walls let air reach the roots, draw away excess moisture and prevent the roots from circling. The result is a denser root ball, better nutrient uptake and a plant in better condition.
How breathable fabric works
When a root reaches a permeable wall and the air behind it, it stops extending in circles and instead branches out. This creates so-called air pruning of roots - a denser and healthier root system without the tangled root ball we know from plastic containers. At the same time, the breathable wall draws away heat in hot weather, so the growing medium does not overheat as much.
How to choose the volume
- 3.8 and 8 l - for seedlings, propagation and smaller herbs.
- 12 and 16 l - universal sizes for common plants; the 12-litre model has practical handles.
- 30 and 56 l - for mature plants and the final stage of growing, for example tomatoes or ornamental woody plants.
- 95 and 127 l - giant containers that also serve as a mobile raised bed for trees and large shrubs.
What Boxer BROWN is made of
The Boxer range is made from durable recycled BPA-free material with a weight of 250 g/m2. It is washable and lasts through many growing cycles, so you can use one pot repeatedly season after season. The brown version also looks natural outdoors and on a balcony.
You can also find Root Pouch Boxer in other colour versions - take a look at Root Pouch BLACK and Root Pouch GREY, or the full range of Root Pouch fabric pots.
Frequently asked questions
Are fabric pots better than plastic ones?
For root health, usually yes - thanks to their breathability, roots do not circle and the whole volume roots through more effectively. Plastic, on the other hand, retains moisture for longer, so with fabric you should expect to water a little more often.
How often do you water in Root Pouch?
Usually a little more often than in plastic, because the walls evaporate moisture. On hot days, check the growing medium more often so it does not dry out.
Can Root Pouch be washed and used again?
Yes. The Boxer material with a weight of 250 g/m2 is washable and designed for many growing cycles.
