Rhino Filter PRO

When extract from the tent needs to reliably remove odour, the quality of the carbon fill and the correct performance matter. Rhino Filter PRO is a robust range of carbon filters for more experienced growers - flanges from 100 to 315 mm and airflow from 200 to 3600 m3/h cover everything from a small tent to a large grow room.

Rhino Filter PRO is a range of carbon odour filters that capture and neutralise odour and poor-quality air (VOC) from the growing space. The filter is connected to the extract together with the fan: air passes through a layer of activated carbon, which binds odour substances, and the air leaves without smell. The PRO range is aimed at experienced and professional growers - it has a more robust construction and, according to the manufacturer, lasts around two years under normal conditions.

How to choose the right filter

The key is to match the filter with the output of the extract fan and the diameter of the ducting. The filter should match the fan output or slightly exceed it, so the carbon has time to clean the air and the odour has time to be captured. Choose the flange diameter (100-315 mm) according to your ducting and fan.

  • Smaller tents - 100-125 mm flanges and output of roughly 200-500 m3/h.
  • Medium setups - 150-160 mm flanges and output around 600-950 m3/h.
  • Large grow rooms - 200-315 mm flanges and output from 1100 to 3600 m3/h.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a carbon filter last?

The Rhino PRO range lasts around two years under normal conditions. Continuous operation and high humidity shorten its service life, so protect the filter from drawing in humid air.

What filter output should I choose for the fan?

The filter should match the fan output, ideally be slightly stronger. An undersised filter cannot clean the air quickly enough and odour will start to escape.

Does the filter have to be the same diameter as the ducting?

The filter flange should match the diameter of the ducting and fan (100-315 mm) so that the connection seals properly and reducers do not restrict airflow.

We will be happy to go through the entire extract with you and check whether the filter, fan and ducting fit together - just get in touch.
