Prima Klima CarboCone CTC75 Carbon Filters

CarboCone is the latest range of odour filters from the PrimaKlima brand. The CarboCone carbon filters in this category use high-quality CTC75 carbon (filters with CTC65 carbon are also available), placed in a conical basket. The basket shape is uniquely designed to improve filtration, make carbon use more efficient and extend the filter life, which can reach up to three years. You can choose according to the clear table at the bottom of the page.

CarboCone - this is a brand-new range of filters in German quality standard with a generous amount of highly active CTC 75 carbon and a patented innovation in the form of an improved conical basket inside. Filters with activated carbon and lower adsorption are also available - CarboCone CTC 65.

The activated carbon basket is reinforced at the end where the filter connection is expected. This is where the largest volume of air flows through, and it is precisely here that, in a conventional filter with a straight wall, the carbon first loses its adsorption properties. There is therefore more carbon where it is needed and less where the air flow is weaker.

Conventional activated carbon filters over time struggle with uneven saturation of the carbon by captured particles. By contrast, the unique structure of Carbocone filters guarantees even saturation of the carbon, which in practical terms crystallises into the following trio of advantages:

  1. Lower activated carbon consumption
  2. Longest service life on the market (+ 30 %)
  3. Significantly more efficient absorption

The CarboCone carbon filter will last you up to three years! Among other things, thanks to the quality metal parts. Consider the dust pre-filter a given.

How long does the CarboCone filter really last?

Up to three years. Its long service life is thanks to the conical basket, which distributes the carbon load evenly, and the quality metal parts. The actual lifespan depends on the dustiness and humidity of the environment, as well as how long the filter runs each day.

What is the difference between CTC 75 and CTC 65 carbon?

The CTC number expresses the adsorption capacity of the carbon - the higher it is, the more effectively the carbon binds odour molecules. CTC 75 therefore adsorbs more strongly than CarboCone CTC 65, which remains the more affordable option.

How do I choose the right size?

The deciding factors are the filter's maximum capacity in m3/h and the flange diameter, which you match to the output of your fan and the duct diameter. The table includes models from a 100 mm flange up to 315 mm, so you can choose from a small tent to a large grow room.

Why does the conical basket have a longer service life?

In a standard filter with a straight wall, the carbon is used up first where the most air flows through - that is, at the connection. The conical basket is reinforced at this point, so there is more carbon where it is needed most, and the filter wears evenly.
