Lumatek VF 90W LED - compact light for seedlings and clones

Lumatek VF 90W LED is an energy-efficient LED light with a balanced white spectrum (Spectrum G) combining 4000K (white) and 3000K (warm white) diodes, designed for seedlings, cuttings, mother plants and crops with low light intensity requirements. It provides them with exactly as much light as they need in the early stage - without over-lighting and without wasting electricity. The slim 21 mm profile is suitable for shelves and multi-tier vertical setups.

Power supply: one 650W driver can run more lights

The VF 90W does not have its own power supply - it is powered via the Lumatek VF driver 650W, which is sold separately. The advantage is that one driver can handle up to seven VF 90W lights connected in series, so when building a multi-tier setup you do not need to buy a power supply for every panel. You save on purchase and running costs and simplify the wiring.

VF 90W or VF 120W?

Both lights share the same dimensions, spectrum and 2.4 µmol/J efficiency - they differ in output. The VF 90W has a PPF of 244 µmol/s and PPFD of 292 µmol/m2/s, and one driver can run up to seven of them. The more powerful VF 120W delivers a PPF of 308 µmol/s and PPFD of 325 µmol/m2/s, but you can connect only five to one driver. Choose the VF 90W for seedlings, cuttings and rows with a lower target intensity.

IP65 protection means the light can withstand humid environments and occasional spraying, and the LED bars can be wiped with a damp cloth. Do I need a separate driver for the Lumatek VF 90W LED?
Yes. The light is powered via the Lumatek VF driver 650W, which is sold separately and is not included with the light. One 650W driver can power and dim up to seven VF 90W lights connected in series, so when building a multi-tier vertical farm you do not need to buy a power supply for each panel separately.

Which plants is the VF 90W suitable for?
The balanced white spectrum and lower intensity (PPFD 292 µmol/m2/s at 20 cm) are aimed at seedlings, cuttings, mother plants and crops with low light requirements, such as herbs or leafy greens. For the full flowering stage of demanding plants, choose a more powerful panel from the ZEUS range.

How is the VF 90W dimmed and switched on?
Brightness is adjusted in steps of OFF-25-50-75-100 % on the 650W driver, using a manual dimmer or controller. If you want to switch the light with a timer, choose a switch that interrupts the live wire - switching the neutral wire can cause LED glow. Control via the Lumatek controller is more convenient and safer.
