JUNGLE indabox - Dosage

How should fertilisers from the Czech manufacturer Jungle Indabox be dosed? Here is a proven procedure!

  • The dosage depends on the fertiliser product range (Urban, Outdoor) you have selected according to the growing method and substrate.
  • Dose Jungle Indabox fertilisers according to the table, taking into account the growth stage in which the plant is currently located.
  • The dosage is stated in millilitres and the values in the tables below correspond to 100 litres of the final nutrient solution.
  • Do not forget that in the last week of the growing cycle it is important to carry out the so-called flushing. In this phase, do not add any of the standard fertilisers to the water. This will achieve exceptionally healthy fruits with excellent taste, as no salt residues or other undesirable substances will remain in the crop.
  • There is also the electrical conductivity of the solution (EC), which needs to be measured. The values stated in the table correspond to mixing the respective fertilisers in reverse osmosis (RO) water.
  • Another important indicator is the optimal pH level, which also needs to be measured.
  • Dosing fertiliser according to the table and the manufacturer’s instructions minimises the risk of over-fertilisation. Nevertheless, we recommend continuously monitoring how the plants are doing throughout the growing cycle, as each of them has its own individual needs.
  • Our TIP: For a higher-quality nutrient solution and better nutrient management, it is worth using filters and reverse osmosis units Growmax.

When to add and when to reduce?

  • You can reduce the intensity of fertilisation for a while if you notice typical symptoms associated with an excess of nutrients. These are most often indicated by yellowing leaves, spots on their edges, or a white surface on the substrate.
  • If you notice that the plant, on the contrary, has a nutrient deficiency, it is advisable to start fertilising a little more. If the plant is growing unhealthily slowly and its leaves are smaller than is usual for the given species, it is likely to be undernourished. In such a case, you can try increasing the intensity of fertilisation and observe whether this has a positive effect on the plant and it begins to thrive better.

DOSAGE URBAN SERIES

  • Fertilisers in the Urban range are optimised for indoor growing
  • The values in the table apply to growing in drip or hand-watered systems with an inert growing medium – rockwool, coconut.
  • For growing in NFT and prepared soil substrates (in the case of supplementary feeding), use half concentration (if necessary, it can be gradually increased up to the values in the table).
  • When growing in soil, we recommend maintaining a higher pH = 6 – 6.4.
  • For growing in a high-pressure aeroponic environment, or if you use a bubbler, apply the fertilisers at one-third concentration (if necessary, it can be gradually increased up to the values in the table).
  • For growing under a LED system, increase the concentration by approximately 20% and reduce the watering frequency (lower evaporation due to the lower temperature under the lighting).

Preparation of the solution:

  • Shake each product thoroughly before use.
  • Any sediment is a sign of a natural product and will subsequently dissolve completely in the nutrient solution.
  • For basic use, always mix all three components. Pour the individual components gradually into the measured amount of water and mix thoroughly each time.
  • The EC of the solution depends on the hardness of the water used. You increase the EC by adding the individual components in the recommended ratio, or reduce it by diluting the solution with water. After mixing the nutrient solution, carry out a control measurement and, if necessary, adjust it using the solutions pH - UP and pH - DOWN to a pH value of 5.9.
  • Due to the properties of the fertiliser, regular flushing is not necessary. For crops, it is sufficient to carry out flushing only during the last 3 days before harvest, using clean water with pH 6.
  • The fertiliser contains natural humic and fulvic acids, thiamine, cytokinins and amino acids.
  • Do not combine with products from other manufacturers.
  • Do not use oxygenation of the nutrient solution with H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) so as not to degrade important biological components.
  • However, peroxide may be used without restriction for periodic system cleaning.
  • Store at a temperature of 5 – 28°C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight.
  • Fertilisers in the JUNGLE Indabox range allow variable use for a wide range of crops. The following table shows several dosage examples for hydroponic growing (drip system). Unless stated otherwise, this applies to plants in full or intensive growth, or in the period of full fruit formation.
  • The stated values also assume clean water with a low mineral content.
  • If you maintain the mutual ratios, you can adjust the dosage to achieve the required EC.dosage_amb_I

DOSAGE OUTDOOR SERIES

  • When growing outdoors, dosing fertilisers from the Outdoor range is very easy. Nutrition is divided purely by purpose, that is, for the growth phase (= 1 - GROW ) and for the phase of flower and fruit formation (= 2 – BLOOM).
  • The growing cycle in the table, focused on outdoor growing in soil, is divided into a total of 11 weeks, of which the first two weeks are the growth phase. The flowering phase begins in the third week and ends in the tenth. The eleventh week is harvest time.
  • The dosage is stated in millilitres per 10 litres of nutrient solution.
  • WARNING - most dosage tables assume EC water from reverse osmosis. Here, the normal EC of tap water applies, i.e. 0.4 mS!
  • The total EC of the nutrient solution should not exceed 2.6 mS, so do not forget to measure the EC regularly.
  • We recommend maintaining pH in the range of 6 – 6.9.
  • If you do not use the JUNGLE X stimulant, increase the dose of the base fertiliser JUNGLE OUTDOOR 2 by the same amount.
