Hygrostat is used for humidifying and dehumidifying. Get a smart device for controlling the output of fans and other devices depending on the air humidity in the room, or in the tent. Digital hygrostats allow switching and control of appliances based on a preset ideal relative humidity value.

Maintaining the right humidity is a very important task in indoor growing. High humidity increases the likelihood of mould and other diseases, and plants also transpire less effectively in air that is too humid or too dry. Breathing is important for them too, and humidity that is too low or too high can result in slow development and even nutrient deficiency.

You can either measure humidity in the traditional way with a hygrometer and then adjust the speed of the fan, or switch on the dehumidifier manually. But why not simplify the process with a digital multifunction device that accurately measures both temperature and humidity while also allowing control of fans and other appliances?

Automation of the process simplifies your work and at the same time reduces energy costs - appliances will operate only when needed.

Our customers like the digital Malapa hygrostat, which perfectly meets the needs of correct timing. The Malapa brand is represented in our range, among other products, by the MINI electronic hygrostat, which can offer you an unprecedented range of relative humidity values, on the basis of which it switches and controls the relevant appliances and ultimately provides effective humidifying and dehumidifying.

What is the difference between a hygrostat and a hygrometer?

A hygrometer only measures and displays humidity - you must react yourself. A hygrostat measures humidity and, according to the set value, automatically switches the connected appliances on and off, so it keeps humidity under automatic control without your intervention.

What humidity is ideal in the tent?

The optimum varies according to the growth stage - young plants and cuttings like higher humidity, while during ripening the air is dried out to prevent mould. That is why a device with a wide adjustment range, such as that offered by Malapa digital hygrostats, is suitable.

Can a hygrostat humidify and dehumidify too?

Yes. Depending on which appliance you connect to it, it switches either a humidifier, a dehumidifier or an extract fan - the hygrostat itself evaluates whether the humidity is above or below the set value and switches on the correct device.

We will advise you on which hygrostat suits your tent and connected appliances - write to us and we will fine-tune humidity automation together.
