DRYFERM BAG, a top-quality drying bag specially designed to maximise the efficiency and quality of drying your herbs.
Each set contains three transparent bags, ideal for processing small to medium batches.

How to use FERMBAG

Drying in FERMBAG is simple and quick. We will show you step by step how to achieve optimal results.

1. Filling the bag with flowers
Fill the bag with freshly harvested, moist-prepared herb flowers and make sure they are evenly distributed. To ensure optimal drying, there should be a maximum of 50 g of flowers in the bag so that the flowers can be placed freely.

2. Closing the bag
Seal the FERMBAG bag firmly using an impulse sealer, stapler or string. This will prevent pests or mould spores from entering, and the flowers will remain protected from external influences.

3. Storing the bag in a dark, ventilated and tempered place
Place FERMBAG in a dark room with a temperature of 18-21 °C so that air can circulate from all sides, for example in nets or on shelves. Air circulation around the bag also prevents mould and ensures optimal drying.

Important: Keep the bag in a dark place at a dry temperature of 18-21 °C and relative humidity of approximately 60%. The bag should be well ventilated, or with a high air circulation speed, without the need for air conditioning. Make sure that no light falls on the bag, as this can damage the flowers and reduce the content of active substances.

4. Daily weighing of the bag
Weigh FERMBAG every day and record the weight. Continue this process until no further weight loss is visible. This process usually takes 7 to 12 days. The flowers usually lose the most weight during the first few days, with the weight loss gradually decreasing.

Tip: If after more than three days there is no visible weight loss, it may be useful to firm the flowers in jars and let them mature. To do this, remove them from the bag and place them in jars.

5. Enjoy the result
Remove the dried flowers from FERMBAG and use them as you wish – whether you want to use them immediately or process them. You now have a finished harvest with a high content of active substances. Congratulations!
Tip: You can process the flowers directly, or let them mature in jars, which will improve their aroma and concentration of active substances.

6. Complete solution
After drying, you can use the harvest immediately, or let it continue to mature in the bag. The bag replaces jars and humidity pads – just make sure the room is neither too dry nor too humid. Patience pays off: the longer the maturation takes, the better the result!
We recommend opening the bag only when you really want to consume the flowers. During this time, the flowers remain in the bag, continue to develop and are optimally protected from external influences. Controlled humidity transparency speeds up the maturation process and makes it a very special experience.
