Drip - capillary distributors

Drip irrigation depends on the final metre - on how reliably water with nutrients gets from the hose to each plant. Capillary distributors, capillaries and needles form exactly this distribution: from metre rolls of 4/6 mm capillaries to branched distributors and Irritec end needles.

Are you assembling DRIP for the first time and do not know what fits with what? Write to us at info@higarden.cz, and we will go through the setup with you.

Everything for owners of irrigation systems working on the principle of drip irrigation (DRIP). Choose capillaries and needles here for a smooth distribution of water with nutrients to your plants.

We have prepared metre rolls of classic capillaries, various types of end needles, and the new addition is the irrigation Irritec needles with a serrated connector. There are also branched capillaries, including the absolute highlight in this category, the capillary distributor Topspin, which allows direct connection to PE hose.

Our range also includes the popular ring capillaries Hydro Flow Rain Ring, thanks to which you can water plants neatly around the root perimeter, especially in Flo Gro systems.

How to assemble a drip irrigation distribution system

The basis is the capillary - a thin tube that carries the solution from the main PE hose to the plant. The most common diameter is 4/6 mm, cut from the roll by the metre. At its end comes an end needle or dripper, which determines how much water flows out of the capillary. If you want to serve more plants from one outlet, choose a branched capillary distributor, and anyone watering around the root ball will appreciate ring capillaries. The highlight is Topspin with direct connection to PE hose. The sister category drip components will also help you put everything together.

Frequently asked questions

What capillary diameter should I choose?

The most widespread is the 4/6 mm capillary, which covers most home and growing-room systems. We cut the capillary from the roll by the metre, so you take exactly as much as you need.

What is an end needle used for?

The needle ends the capillary at the plant and directs the flow of solution straight to the roots. Irritec needles with a serrated connector hold more firmly on the capillary and are easier to fit.

How can I water more plants from one outlet?

Use a branched capillary distributor, which divides the supply into several arms with needles. For even watering around the root zone, Rain Ring ring capillaries are suitable.

Can the distributor be connected directly to PE hose?

Yes, the Topspin distributor is designed precisely for direct connection to PE hose, so no additional reducer is needed. For other components, use reducers and connectors from the related categories.

We will be happy to go through the entire distribution system with you and check whether the capillaries, needles and hoses fit together - just get in touch or visit us at the shop in Prague.
