The key to perfect efficiency: CKV-4 activated carbon

The heart of the filter is specially lightweight, pelletised CKV-4 type activated carbon. Thanks to the controlled grain coarseness and the extremely high porosity of the material, air flows evenly through the entire carbon bed and more than 99 % of unwanted odours and volatile organic compounds (VOC) are captured. Compared with powdered carbon, the pelletised form offers a longer service life and more stable performance throughout use.

You can install the filter horizontally or vertically, giving you maximum freedom when designing the ventilation system. To ensure optimal function, it is essential to choose a fan with the appropriate output. You can easily calculate the required air flow:

• Calculate the room volume (length × width × height in metres).
• Multiply the result by 60 (the number of air changes per hour).
• The resulting value in m³/h should be lower than the filter's maximum air flow.

Tips for maximum service life

The service life of the carbon filling, which reaches up to 24 months, depends on the conditions in operation. To maximise it, keep relative humidity below 80 % and the temperature up to 80 °C. Also clean or replace the pre-filter (filter fabric) regularly to prevent the carbon from becoming clogged with dust and other impurities.
