The Iolite pocket vaporiser operates on hot butane and does not require a connection to electricity. Vaporisation takes place using hot butane gas at a constant temperature of 190 °C, which cannot be adjusted. The mechanism automatically maintains the set temperature; the reaction between butane and oxygen takes place inside the device. After switching on, it takes approximately 45 seconds for the heating chamber to reach the operating temperature. One butane refill lasts approximately 2 hours of operation. The device can be refilled with commercially available butane and is made of high-quality plastic.
