Rhino fans are duct fans built for growers who want to handle ventilation and extraction quietly and with a reserve of power. The flagship range is Rhino Ultra with a modern EC motor, which offers high airflow at high pressure - this is key when you push air through an odour filter and longer or bent ducting.
How to choose Rhino? The deciding factors are the connection diameter and the required airflow. The range covers diameters from 100 mm up to 315 mm:
- 100-125 mm - output of around 275 to 280 m3/h, ideal for one smaller tent.
- 150-200 mm - approximately 530 to 1205 m3/h for medium grow rooms and full-size tents.
- 250-315 mm - from 1800 to almost 3000 m3/h for large spaces and demanding extraction.
Why an EC motor. The Rhino Ultra Silent EC models can be smoothly controlled across the full 0-100% range without disruptive humming, are more energy efficient, and the speed controller is usually included in the package. The metal impeller construction adds durability and quiet operation.
Don't forget the filter. The fan forms the core of the extraction set-up, which also includes an odour filter with matching output. Only then can you effectively remove heat, humidity and odour from the space.

How powerful a Rhino fan do I need?
Base your choice on the volume of the space and how many times per hour you want to replace the air. A smaller tent will do with a 100-125 mm model, for a full-size tent choose 150-200 mm, and for a grow room 250-315 mm. Allow a reserve if the fan pushes air through a filter and longer ducting.
What does an EC motor mean and is it better than AC?
