Plagron – Dosing Chart
How to dose Plagron? Here is a tried-and-tested method!
- The dosage of Plagron fertilisers depends on the product range you are using. These include the 100% natural fertilisers from the Alga range, mineral fertilisers from the Terra range, or fertilisers for coconut or for hydroponics?
- It also depends on the growing media in which you grow. We recommend growing media from the same brand. For example, lightly pre-fertilised, aerated soil mixes with perlite or coconut growing media.
- The manufacturer's growing schedule is clearly divided for each product range according to the individual weeks of the growing cycle and the development stages. Starting with the vegetative stage (growth), continuing through the flower formation stage flowers and up to the desired harvest, when mature plants should be watered with clean water (flushing) so that they have enough time to use up all the fertiliser. This is important for the resulting taste and the health of the fruit. This applies to all fertilisers except special fertilisers for flushing, or flushing.
- All growing schedules are adapted to the needs of indoor growing of various types of plants, particularly in a growbox.
- The tables can be applied to young plants, from freshly rooted cuttings to seedlings one week old. The length of each period then depends on the specific plant species.
- Dosing fertiliser according to the manufacturer's tables minimises the risk of over-fertilisation. Nevertheless, we recommend regularly observing how herbs and crops are progressing during the growing cycle, as every plant has individual needs, just like people.
When should you increase or reduce the dosage?
- You can reduce the intensity of fertilising for a while if you notice typical symptoms associated with an excess of nutrients. This is most often indicated by yellowing leaves, spots around their edges or a white surface on the growing media.
- If you notice that the plant is suffering from a lack of nutrients, it is advisable to start fertilising a little more. If the plant grows unusually slowly and its leaves are smaller than is usual for the species, it may be undernourished. In such a case, you can try increasing the intensity of fertilising and observe whether this has a positive effect on the plant and whether it starts to thrive better.
- Our TIP: For better-quality watering and more efficient nutrient management, it is worth using Growmax filters and reverse osmosis units.
Plagron Alga organic fertilisers:
- The table shows the recommended amount of fertiliser for the given week. Mix this amount in 10 litres of water. Apply the solution (water + fertiliser) every time you water.
- The Allmix, Royalmix and Batmix growing media are pre-fertilised, which means that they already contain nutrients for the first 6 weeks. Therefore, Plagron BIO fertilisers are only added to the watering solution at the beginning of the 7th week of the growing cycle.
- The supplementary fertiliser for growth and flowering, Vita Race, is ideally applied by spraying it directly onto the plants once a week, generally during the first 5 weeks of the growing cycle.
- Use the root stimulator Power Roots for the same length of time, mixing it conventionally in water. It is characterised by extremely rapid absorption and beneficial effects on the development of the root system and the plant's overall defences.
- After the first five weeks, these supplementary biological fertilisers are followed by the professional flowering stimulator and activator – Green Sensation.

Plagron Terra mineral fertilisers:
- The table shows the recommended amount of fertiliser for the given week. Mix this amount in 10 litres of water. Apply the solution (water + fertiliser) every time you water.
- This table also includes a column showing the value of the electrical conductivity of the solution (EC), which is important to measure and monitor regularly. Never exceed the limit value of 3.0 mS/cm!
- Growers most commonly use tap water, so the stated EC values already include its average electrical conductivity of 0.5 mS/cm. Take this factor into account especially if you decide to use one of the water filtration options.
- Liquid mineral fertilisers for growth (Terra Grow) and flowering (Terra Bloom) are intended exclusively for the relevant stage. As you can see in the table, if you apply the solution to lightly pre-fertilised growing media (Lightmix) containing basic nutrients for the first 2 weeks, it is sufficient to use Terra Grow during the first two weeks and switch to Terra Bloom in the 3rd week.
- If you prefer more heavily pre-fertilised growing media, Growmix, containing nutrients for the first 3 weeks, it is sufficient to use only the liquid flowering fertiliser Terra Bloom from the 4th week onwards.
- An undeniable advantage of both of the above-mentioned peat mixes from Plagron is their composition enriched with perlite, which ensures perfect aeration of the growing media and thus better root system development and overall utilisation of the fertilisers.
- Plagron mineral fertilisers are also highly suitable for use with three unique supplements. Their dosage in combination with mineral nutrition is particularly simple: 10 ml of product per 10 litres of water.
- From the 1st to the 5th week of the growing cycle, watering enriched with the root stimulator Power Roots and the unique enzymatic fertiliser Pure Zym will ensure explosive growth.
- Once the plant has such strong foundations, it will develop abundant flowers to your delight if you add the flowering activator Green Sensation to the watering solution from the 6th week onwards.

Plagron Coco fertilisers:
- The table shows the recommended amount of fertiliser for the given week. Mix this amount in 10 litres of water. Apply the solution (water + fertiliser) every time you water.
- This table also includes, as in the case of the mineral fertilisers from the Terra range, a column showing the value of the electrical conductivity of the solution (EC), which is important to measure and monitor regularly when growing in coconut.
- Never exceed the limit value of 3.0 mS/cm! Growers most commonly use tap water, so the stated EC values already include its average electrical conductivity of 0.5 mS/cm. Take this factor into account especially if you decide to use one of the water filtration options.
- The two-part Plagron Cocos A+B fertilisers are ideal for growing in coconut growing media and undoubtedly rank among the best products available on the market. They are easy to apply, as the table illustrates, since they are added to the watering solution in the same ratio throughout the entire growing cycle.
- For better results, use the same supplementary fertilisers as those used in combination with the liquid nutrition from the Terra range (Power Roots, Pure Zym, Green Sensation). To make growing in coconut even simpler, the same rules apply to these products as to their combination with the Terra range.

Plagron Hydro fertilisers for hydroponic growing:
- The table shows the recommended amount of fertiliser for the given week. Mix this amount in 10 litres of water. Apply the solution (water + fertiliser) every time you water.
- This table, like the tables for the Terra or Coco fertiliser ranges, also includes a column showing the value of the electrical conductivity of the solution (EC), which is important to measure and monitor regularly when growing using hydroponics.
- Never exceed the limit value of 3.0 mS/cm! Growers most commonly use tap water, so the stated EC values already include its average electrical conductivity of 0.5 mS/cm. Take this factor into account especially if you decide to use one of the water filtration options.
- The two-part fertilisers Plagron Hydro A+B are ideal for soilless hydroponic growing and once again rank among the best products available on the market. Add them to the watering solution in the same ratio throughout the entire growing cycle.
- For better results, use the same supplementary fertilisers as those used in combination with the liquid nutrition from the Terra and Coco ranges (Power Roots, Pure Zym, Green Sensation). In hydroponics, the same dosage rules apply as for the combination with the previous fertiliser ranges, namely 10 ml per 10 litres of water.

The Plagron dosage calculator can be used to determine the ideal dosage for all ranges and types of growing media.
