FFP2 respirator with a filtration efficiency of at least 95% prevents the penetration of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, mould spores), fine dust and toxic solid or liquid particles from outside to inside, thereby protecting the user's respiratory system.

This FFP2 class respirator filters out at least 95% of solid particles from inhaled air.

It does not contain an exhalation valve and can therefore be used for everyday wear instead of fabric face coverings, but with much greater efficiency.

Always put on the respirator with thoroughly cleaned hands so that it fits the face as closely as possible all the way around. When taking it off, touch only the straps, not the part that filters the air.

Which respirator should you choose for protection against bacteria and viruses?

One of the most widespread are respirators marked FFP2. This certificate designation ensures, according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), protection for the wearer against 95% of airborne particles with a diameter of 0.3 um or larger. According to WHO, such protection is recommended as the minimum standard.

Correct fitting of the mask

Before first use, thorough hand hygiene with soap and warm water is necessary. After washing your hands, place the top part of the respirator against your face and then press its lower part to your face. When the respirator fits your face perfectly, adjust the elastic straps so that they keep it in a secure position. A correctly fitted protective mask must fit tightly to the face and should cover the mouth, nose and chin. Men should be shaved, because a beard can cause leaks. When removing the mask, touch only the straps, not the part that filters the air.
