Molluscicides are products designed directly against slugs and snails - one of the most common pests in vegetable beds and ornamental gardens.
They are most often granulated baits that are spread directly between plants or around the bed. Slugs and snails eat the granules and die, which works on all common species found in gardens.
The products are used both on large areas with field crops, fruit, vegetables or vines, and on smaller beds, in greenhouses and cold frames - always according to the dosage stated on the packaging of the specific product.
After application, it is advisable to distribute the granules evenly and repeat the dosage according to the number of slugs and the weather conditions, because rain reduces the bait's effectiveness.
