The Mars Hydro FC EVO range consists of full-surface bar-type LED panels - the diodes are not concentrated into a single chip, but distributed across a series of bars over the entire surface. This means the light reaches the corners of the tent evenly and plants at the edges do not lag behind those in the centre. The panels are designed for growers who want stable coverage and the option to adjust intensity according to the growth stage.
How to choose according to area and power
The key is to match the panel power to the size of the space. The FC EVO range covers a wide spectrum:
- FC-3000 EVO (300 W) - for smaller spaces around 90x90 to 100x100 cm, an ideal start
- FC-4800 EVO (480 W) - a finely tuned choice for a 120x120 cm tent
- FC-6500 EVO (730 W) and FC-8000 EVO (800 W) - for large tents around 150x150 cm, where you want maximum yield
- FC-1000 EVO (1000 W) - the flagship panel for the most demanding and commercial applications
A higher model does not just mean more watts - it also gives you a reserve that you can use during the growth stage when dimmed, and run at full power in flowering. The EVO panels are dimmable with a controller, so one setup can take you through the whole cycle from seedlings to harvest.
Full spectrum and even coverage
The FC EVO panels shine with a full spectrum that the plant can use in both growth and flowering - you do not need to change lights during the cycle. The design with distributed bars keeps the operating temperature of the diodes low, which extends their service life and at the same time does not heat the tent as much as a discharge lamp. How many plants will an FC panel light?
It depends on the plant size and planting density. In general, you choose the panel according to the tent area, not the number of pots - when you cover the entire footprint, the plants divide the space among themselves.
How high should the panel be hung?
Adjust the height according to the stage and intensity. During growth, the distance is usually greater and the light dimmed; during flowering, you lower the panel and increase the power. You will find the exact values in the manual for the given model - they vary according to wattage.
Is a dimmable controller worth it?
Yes. It allows you to use one setup for weaker seedlings and full flowering, and save energy where full power is not needed.
