How does it work?

The principle is brilliantly simple. The Terralink sensors placed directly in the growing medium and the Climalink sensor in the plant canopy area collect key data. This information is sent wirelessly to the central LINKS Hub control unit (not included in the package).

Based on the set rules and real-time data, the Hub then gives instructions to the valveLINK controller, which automatically switches the connected irrigation valves. This gives you the certainty that your plants receive exactly what they need, and exactly when they need it.

Detailed component description

valveLINK: The heart of your automated irrigation. This wireless controller can independently switch up to 8 standard irrigation valves (24VAC). It is protected by a durable NEMA 4X certified housing, so it will not be intimidated by harsh conditions. It allows manual activation, time schedules and fully automated cycles controlled by sensor data.

Terralink (2 pcs): A top-class substrate sensor that gives you a perfect overview of what is happening in the root zone. In real time, it measures volumetric water content (VWC), electrical conductivity (EC) and substrate temperature. Thanks to TDR technology and a durable IP68-rated design, it provides highly accurate data in soil, coco and rockwool.

Climalink: A compact yet accurate climate sensor that monitors air temperature and relative humidity. From these values, the system automatically calculates vapour pressure deficit (VPD), which is a key parameter for optimising transpiration and the health of annual plants such as tomatoes, chilli peppers or herbs.

canopyLINK: A practical hub that serves as a central point for connecting Climalink and Terralink sensors. It significantly simplifies cable organisation and keeps your growing space tidy.

What is Crop Steering?

Crop Steering is an advanced cultivation method that uses precise data to target the plant through different stages of its development. By manipulating factors such as the water content in the substrate (VWC) and its electrical conductivity (EC), you can direct the plant either towards vegetative growth (leaf and stem formation) or towards generative growth (flower and fruit formation). This system gives you the tools to use this technique effectively.
