Gold Label - Dosing Tables

How to dose Gold Label fertilisers? Here is a tried-and-tested procedure!

  • Dosing depends on the fertiliser range you have selected according to your growing method and, above all, the growing medium.
  • We recommend combining Gold Label fertilisers with growing media from this outstanding Dutch manufacturer. Individual growing media directly determine the application of individual Gold Label fertilisers. Choose a growing schedule according to the growing medium (see below) and the results will amaze you!
  • The doses of individual fertilisers shown in the growing schedule in millilitres are intended to be mixed into one litre of water.
  • Do not forget that during the final week of the growing cycle it is important to carry out a so-called flush, or flushing. At this stage, do not add any conventional fertilisers to the water, as the growing medium still contains a nutritious so-called buffer solution. This will give you exceptionally healthy produce with an excellent flavour, as no residual salts or other undesirable substances will remain in the harvest.
  • For indoor plant cultivation in a growbox, all tables also include the recommended lighting period.
  • Dosing the fertiliser according to the table and the manufacturer’s instructions reduces the risk of over-fertilisation to a minimum. Nevertheless, we recommend regularly monitoring how the plants are doing throughout the growing cycle, as each one has individual needs.
  • Our TIP: For better-quality watering and improved nutrient management, it is worth using Growmax filters and reverse osmosis units.

When to add and when to reduce?

  • You can temporarily reduce the intensity of fertilisation if you notice typical symptoms associated with an excess of nutrients. These are most commonly indicated by yellowing leaves, spots around their edges or a white surface on the growing medium.
  • If you notice that the plant is suffering from a lack of nutrients, it is advisable to start fertilising slightly more. If the plant grows unhealthily slowly and its leaves are smaller than usual for the species, it may be undernourished. In such a case, you can try increasing the intensity of fertilisation and observe whether this has a positive effect on the plant and whether it starts to thrive better.

Growing schedule for cultivation in soil: Special Mix

  • Be careful when dosing the highly concentrated products ULTRA PK and ULTRA MG, so that you maintain a balance of N-P-K levels in the nutrient solution.
  • Always tailor the schedule to the specific species of cultivated plant or agricultural crop.
  • If the flowering phase lasts 8 or 9 weeks, omit weeks 6 to 7, or only week 7, from the schedule.
  • The optimum pH level is 5.8 until the end of week 4. From week 5 until flushing, it is 6.2.
  • The ideal lighting period during germination is 18 – 24 hours per day. During rooting, it is 18 hours per day, and during the second week of the growth phase, the need for light gradually decreases to 12 hours by the end of the growing cycle.

Germination (first 3 – 4 days)

  • Apply only the stimulator Roots at a quantity of 0.25 ml.

Rooting (first 9 – 10 days)

  • Apply only the stimulator Roots at a quantity of 0.5 ml.

Vegetative phase (weeks 1 and 2)

  • Apply only the stimulator Roots at a quantity of 0.5 ml.

Transition (week 3)

  • Apply the stimulator Roots at a quantity of 0.5 ml.
  • Add the basic two-part nutrition for cultivation in soil, Soil A+B, with both components at a quantity of 0.5 ml.
  • Also add ULTRA MG and Enzyme to the watering at the same quantity.

Beginning of flowering (week 4)

  • Dose all fertilisers in the same way as in the previous week, excluding Enzyme this week. (You will use Enzyme every other week.)

Flowering (week 5)

  • Apply the stimulator Roots at a quantity of 0.5 ml.
  • Increase the dose of both components of the basic nutrition to 1 ml.
  • Also add ULTRA MG and Enzyme to the watering, both products at a dose of 0.5 ml.
  • Also add ULTRA PK to the watering. Start with a dose of 0.25 ml.

Flowering (week 6)

  • Exclude the Roots stimulator until the end of the growing cycle.
  • Increase the ULTRA PK dose to 0.5 ml.
  • Keep the dose of both components of the basic nutrition at 1 ml.
  • Exclude Enzyme this week.

Flowering (weeks 7 to 9)

  • Increase the dose of both components of the basic nutrition to 1.5 ml.
  • Continue dosing the other fertilisers in the same way, but use Enzyme only in weeks 7 and 9.

Flowering (week 10)

  • Reduce the dose of both components of the basic nutrition to 1 ml.
  • Apply ULTRA PK at a quantity of 0.5 ml.

Flowering (week 11)

  • Flush the plants with clean water.
