Maxibright Varidrive ballast 600W: power supply for Varidrive 720W and HPS

The Varidrive ballast is a dimmable digital ballast that powers and regulates the Maxibright Varidrive 720W LED light. It also serves as a dimmer with four power levels, comes including cabling, and besides LED it can also power HPS lamps. It is a replacement or additional ballast for the Varidrive 720W set.

The ballast powers the Maxibright Varidrive 720W LED light and is also compatible with HPS (sodium) lamps. It is not compatible with MH (metal halide) lamps. It comes including cabling and has short-circuit protection, so you can connect it directly into the set.

What do the 250, 400, 600 W and Boost levels mean?

These are four power levels with which the ballast dims the connected light. The lower 250 and 400 W levels are useful for young plants and saving energy, while 600 W and Boost are for the period when plants need full power. You switch the output directly on the ballast.
