How to recognise potassium deficiency

Because potassium is mobile in the plant, symptoms first appear on older, lower leaves: yellowing (chlorosis) and subsequent browning and dying off (necrosis) of the edges and tips of the leaves, and the leaves may look burnt. The plant generally weakens, has thinner and less sturdy stems and may wilt because the stomata do not open properly and the leaf tissues overheat. Untreated deficiency leads to reduced resistance to stress and disease and lower harvest quality and quantity.

Application and dosage

Bionova K 20 is a fast-acting and economical product. Use it in a targeted way to achieve the best results - it can be applied by watering to the roots or by foliar spray.

Always adjust the dosage to the specific needs of the plants to avoid over-fertilisation. K 20 complements the base fertiliser Soil Supermix or Hydro Supermix well, and during flowering combine it with the booster PK 13-14.
