Calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) are the basic building blocks for the vitality of every plant. Their correct level is crucial for a successful harvest of tasty tomatoes, hot chilli peppers and fragrant herbs.

• Calcium is responsible for the strength of cell walls and the overall structural integrity of the plant. It ensures robust growth and the proper development of new leaves and flowers.

How do you know something is missing from your plants?

Early recognition of the symptoms allows you to act quickly and prevent more serious problems. Watch your plants and focus on these signs:

• Symptoms of calcium deficiency (Ca): yellow-brown spots appear on the leaves, often with a sharp brown edge. The growth of new shoots slows down and they may be deformed.
• Symptoms of magnesium deficiency (Mg): rusty or distinctly yellow spots appear between the veins of older leaves. The leaves gradually lose their deep green colour.

Precise dosing for maximum results

For correct application, always add Calmag to the water first, mix thoroughly and only then dose the other fertilisers. After mixing all components, check and, if necessary, adjust the pH of the resulting solution - for fine-tuning use Bio-pH+ or Bio-pH-.

Preventive care (when using soft or RO water):

• Soil substrates: 0.3 - 0.8 ml per litre of water with each watering.
• Hydroponics and coconut substrates: 0.5 - 1.0 ml per litre of water with each watering.

Solution for acute deficiency:

• Soil substrates: 0.3 - 1.2 ml per litre of water once a week until the symptoms subside.
• Hydroponics and coconut substrates: 0.5 - 1.4 ml per litre of water once a week until the symptoms subside.
