The original Rain hydroponic system by Alien Hydroponics imitates rain through its watering style. By copying as faithfully as possible the irrigation system we know from nature, it achieves excellent results.

During watering, the nutrient solution flows through the perforated Rain lid, so it reaches the plants in droplets. This simulates rainfall and prevents salt build-up, which is flushed away straight away. Even watering ensures that nutrients reach all roots equally and the substrate dries at the same rate. All the solution slowly drips into the substrate after watering ends, so there are no losses. Before the nutrient solution reaches the plants, it is filtered to remove impurities.

Any substrate is suitable for the system - it can handle classic soil, coco or inert media such as expanded clay. The system can be set up as RTW (run-to-waste: the used solution is drained to waste) or as a recirculating system (the used solution returns to the tank), so you can grow in any style and method.

Watering is controlled by the Rain Brain system, which operates both the irrigation and drainage pump. You can set the watering to last from 15 seconds to 5 minutes, at intervals from 30 minutes to 7 days.

For the Rain system, you will need a tank with a capacity of at least 500L. You can use any tank, for example FlexiTank. Our range also includes the original Alien Hydroponics tank.

Alien Hydroponics Rain 24Pot has twenty-four pots and is available in PRO Silver (silver) and Black (black) versions. You can also choose from two pot sizes; both versions are available in 15L and 30L sizes.

How do the PRO Silver and Black systems differ?

Compared with the basic features, the Pro Silver system has something extra:

• DualFlow 50 mm connectors - the larger diameter means freer flow of nutrient solution, and they are also designed for better drainage
• 50 mm silver hose - the connecting hose is also thicker and reflects heat, so the solution does not warm up in it
• Containers and lids made of silver polymer - they reflect heat, so there is no warming
• Drain with copper coating - roots will not grow into the irrigation system

Each pack contains:

Containers, fabric pots, Rain lids, lid covers, container stands, filter head, Rain Brain control system, Rain irrigation pump, Jet-Stream drainage pump, power cable, 12V adapter, container clamps, lid clamps, nuts, washers, valve taps, siphon valves, hose cutters, adjustable spanner, hose clips, and a manual.

Rain Black pack also contains: drain covers, 32 mm connectors and hoses: 4 mm (green),16 mm (green), 19 mm (black), 25 mm (blue), 32 mm (green).

Rain Pro Silver pack also contains: drain covers with copper coating, Dual-Flow connectors and hoses: 4 mm (green), 16 mm (silver), 19 mm (black), 25 mm (blue), 50 mm (silver)
