The ProGuard Defender DXB 100 active air purifier with BPI was designed and engineered to provide effective disinfection in growing spaces of approx. 46 m2 at a height of 3-3.6 m.

ProGuard Defender DXB 100 with BPI provably eliminates surface and airborne pathogens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For areas smaller than 28 m2, it is recommended to use a plug-in timer and not run the ProGuard non-stop.

Reduces the occurrence of mould, fungi, bacteria, viruses and other dangerous pathogens.

The ProGuard™ sanitation process combines PCO and BPI:
1. ProGuard uses patented photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) technology, which uses energy to activate a catalyst and converts moisture into dry hydrogen peroxide and other disinfecting elements that continuously clean the space 24 hours a day.
2. By creating plasma with an extremely high content of both positive and negative charges, BPI (bipolar ionisation) ions effectively destroy germs, including mould, fungi, viruses and bacteria. It also cleans the air by causing particles to clump together and fall to the floor.

The higher the humidity, the greater the volume of oxidation created and the more effective the technology is.

How to install and use the ProGuard purifier in a growing space:
- always install the ProGuard device close to the air intake and away from the air extract from the growing room
- however, do not place it closer than approx. 1 m from the fan; only this will ensure proper and gentle dispersion of the disinfectant
- the unit can be installed on a wall or suspended from the ceiling - the air outlet opening must face downwards, with the filters at the top right and left
- ProGuard purifiers must not come into contact with water
- do not install them near lighting
- installation should take no more than a few minutes

Maintenance and operation
The air filters should be replaced every 3-4 months or as needed so that the inside of the unit remains clean. This varies depending on the environment. In clean growing rooms, replacement is usually sufficient about once every quarter. Disconnect the device from the mains, simply remove the unit cover, easily slide out the filter and insert a new one.

To achieve optimum performance, the PCO BPI Kit for air cleaning must be replaced every 12 months, because UV radiation degrades over time and the cell becomes clogged with foreign substances. You can easily replace it according to the instructions in the user manual. If you do not replace the cell annually, the device will become ineffective.
