The PCO Cell & BPI Kit is a disinfection generation unit for the DXB device. For the ProGuard Defender DXB air purifier to work correctly and at 100% at all times, the unit needs to be replaced once a year.

The ProGuard™ sanitation process combines PCO and BPI
1. ProGuard uses patented photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) technology, which uses energy to activate a catalyst and converts moisture into dry hydrogen peroxide and other disinfecting elements that continuously clean the space 24 hours a day.
2. By creating plasma with an extremely high content of both positive and negative charges, BPI (bipolar ionisation) ions effectively destroy germs, including mould, fungi, viruses and bacteria. It also cleans the air by causing particles to clump together and fall to the floor.

The higher the humidity, the greater the volume of oxidation created and the more effective the technology is.

The difference between DXB 100 and DXB Mini
Both Defender ProGuard units are used for disinfection of indoor environments using the same mechanisms, but they have been optimised for different room sizes with a height of 3-3.6 m2.
