Zeolite is unique in that the spatial arrangement of its atoms creates channels, cavities, and pores of constant dimensions, in which substances in solid, liquid, and gaseous states are trapped. Zeolite is therefore widely used in ion-exchange processes. Zeolite is a microporous material that traps sodium and chlorine ions in its pores. In an aqueous environment, these ions are capable of “absorbing” other ions, a property we utilize in the filtration process. Zeolite is essentially a natural disinfectant; it is non-toxic, non-allergenic, and effectively regulates nutrient management in the soil.

The particle size is 4–8 mm.

Uses of Zeolite:

- additive to growing media - Zeolite makes the substrate airy and suitable for the healthy growth of the plant root system; it binds and then gradually releases all applied fertilizers, improves water management, and its structure provides an ideal environment for the proliferation of beneficial soil bacteria. Furthermore, zeolite is suitable for enriching acidic, heavy clay, or sandy soils, where it acts as a soil conditioner.

- Decorative material - Zeolite is a suitable decorative material for covering the soil of plants grown in containers. It prevents excessive water evaporation, binds nutrients, and absorbs harmful substances. It prevents mold growth. It absorbs odors from the surrounding environment.

- Planting and sowing - Using zeolite as a drainage layer at the bottom of a sowing or growing container ensures good plant health and a strong root system.

- Filter medium for aquariums, ponds, and fish tanks - Zeolite helps create a suitable environment for fish and ornamental aquatic plants, reduces algae growth, and significantly lowers harmful ammonia levels in the water.

- Hydroponic cultivation - Thanks to its unique structure, zeolite is one of the best substrates for hydroponic cultivation.

- Lawn establishment - Zeolite is an invaluable material for establishing, maintaining, and restoring damaged lawns.
