Flanges

Flange (flanch) is used for firm and permanent fastening of an air hose, for example to an outlet to a chimney, for wall penetration, or directly onto a CAN carbon filter. You can choose from sheet metal or plastic versions in diameters from 100 to 450 mm.

Not sure which type of flange and diameter you need? Write to info@higarden.eu, and we will advise you according to your ventilation setup.

A flange, also called a flanch, provides a firm connection of an air hose in places where the duct should not hang freely - typically a wall penetration, anchoring to a chimney, or direct screwing onto a CAN carbon filter.

There are two versions available. A sheet metal flange is available in a wide range of diameters from 100 to 450 mm and is suitable wherever you need a more durable and rigid connection, for example at a fan or at the end of a run leading to a chimney. A plastic flange covers smaller and medium diameters (125 to 400 mm) and is a lighter, more easily adjustable option for common domestic installations.

When choosing, always base your decision on the diameter of the connected duct or hose - the flanch must match the size of the aluflex, sonoflex or directly the filter neck, otherwise the joint will not seal and air will escape outside the run. An oversised or undersised flange seals poorly with both tape and a clamping band, and the joint then unnecessarily loses the air performance of the entire run.

We will be happy to advise you on choosing the correct type and diameter of flange for your ventilation system at info@higarden.eu.
