Product detailed description

The molecules in zeolite are structured to create different channels, cavities, and pores, which fix liquid, solid and gaseous substances. Zeolites are sometimes known as "molecular sieves", which sort molecules by size - it all comes down to what fits in their channels, pores or cavities. It removes heavy metals, toxins, allergens, iron, ammonium and zinc. It can even get rid of unpleasant smells and excessive moisture.

Generally, it's used in water and air filters. In soil, it improves nutrient management.

The size of the particles ranges from 1 to 2,5mm.

Zeolite can serve as:

- a substrate additive - Zeolite aerates the substrate, which is better for the root system. It also fixes and gradually releases nutrients, improves water retention and supports beneficial soil life (like bacteria). Zeolite can enrich acidic, heavy clay and sandy soils.

- decorative material - covering the soil with zeolite prevents excessive evaporation and removes harmful compounds. It prevents mould growth and adsorbs unpleasant odours from its surroundings.

- drainage layer - putting zeolite to the bottom of a flowerpot improves drainage, which is good for the root system and overall plant health

- filtration for aquariums and ponds - zeolite reduces the amount of ammonia and algae in the water, making it more friendly to fish and decorative water plants

hydroponic growing media - because of its unique structure, the mineral is one of the best options for hydroponic systems
