The Cress Plate by Grodan is a mineral wool growing mat developed for microgreens like basil, roquette, chives, mizuna, coriander, chia, mustard, fennel and many others.

We recommend using the Cress Plate on a Microgreens Tray by Garland. We offer two options, one with drainage holes and one without them.

• The mat is inert - it doesn't affect the EC value of the nutrient solution

How to use Grodan Cress Plate?

- place the mat into a propagator or a tray
- water with a nutrient solution with EC 1.5 and pH 5.5
- let the Cress Plate soak up the solution and drain the excess water after one minute
- scatter the seeds evenly to make sure they grow consistently
- water every time the mat loses about 50% of its wet weight
- always drain the mat after watering
