The technology used is based on our Aeroflo system and incorporates several improvements that make the system more user-friendly without compromising its qualities. The GrowStream has a removable lid and rounded edges for easier cleaning, a double wall for both the channel and the lid to improve the insulation properties and the irrigation tube is inside the chamber to prevent fluid leaks. Compared to the AeroFlo, the new system is slightly larger, so that the roots have more space available and the system is able to hold more water, allowing larger plants to grow in it. The result is a versatile system that can grow both small and large plants. It is the only hydroponic system on the market that is adapted to grow large plants, not just lettuce and herbs.
GrowStream® is the ultimate no-substrate system that is commercially available.
GrowStream® systems can hold 10-120 plants per unit and with an unlimited number of units available, it is the most efficient way to grow plants hydroponically. The GrowStream® concept works on the principle of distributing oxygenated water in the optimum ratio along the length of the unit. It offers the advantages of a system known as "aeroponics" without the disadvantages of unwanted water heating and extreme sensitivity to pH fluctuations.
GrowStream® is powered by a single, simple water pump in the tank that lifts the water into the growing tube, where it is injected at carefully calculated intervals.
The nutrient solution then falls back down the tube, perfectly oxygenating the solution tank. There is no need for complicated controls or a bunch of air pumps - GrowStream® systems are incredibly easy to set up and operate.
