Activated carbon is carbon that has a porous structure and a large internal surface area (1050 m2/g). It can absorb a wide range of substances including odours. It can therefore be used as a replacement cartridge for odour filters. Its shape is in the form of cylinders. The lifetime of activated carbon is approximately 18-24 months.

Calculation to choose the right filter
Calculate the air volume in a room by multiplying the length of the room (m) by the width of the room (m) and the height of the ceiling (m).
For example.Room length 4 m, width 3 m and ceiling height 2 m => 4 x 3 x 2 = 24 m3
Multiply the resulting air volume by 60 (i.e. the number of minutes per hour) to find the amount of air that needs to be cleaned in 1 hour.
Compare the result with the maximum capacity of the selected filter. If its max. performance is higher than our result, the filter is sufficient for the space.
