How perfectpH works
Maintaining the right pH is a crucial factor in hydroponic growing. In hydroponics, plants are not rooted in the substrate and excess H+/OH- ions produced by the plants accumulate in the solution thus slowly creating a toxic environment. PerfectpH binds these excess H+/OH- ions to create the ideal pH environment for your plants.

perfectpH is a natural ionic pH buffer. Excess H+/OH- ions and other toxins are captured and removed from the nutrient solution, stabilizing the pH and resulting in healthy plants and higher yields.
pH is a science
Plants prefer a slightly acidic pH for ideal nutrient uptake. When the pH moves outside this zone nutrients are blocked and uptake does not work properly. The result is stunted plants and compromised immune systems.
PerfectpH will maintain a pH in the ideal range of no more than 5.5 - 6.5, although for most systems it will be more in the range of 5.7 - 6.2.
It is important to know that slight fluctuations in pH are natural and desirable, as different nutrients are absorbed by the plant at different pH. Thus, fluctuations in pH will allow optimal absorption of key nutrients throughout the required range.
Setting the perfectpH
The user has two options for using perfectpH. The first is the "Set It and Forget It" method.In this case, the initial pH must be set in the desired range of 5.8 to 6.2 (or as required) using a pH buffer. PerfectpH will have an easier starting position in this case and will maintain the set pH immediately within the set range. The second option is to let perfectpH work independently. The ideal pH will be reached in a longer time and more capacity will be consumed, thus reducing the time before the product "recharges", but eliminating the need to use pH buffers and acquire measuring equipment.
