Growing in hydroponics requires a completely different approach to nutrition than growing in soil. Soil naturally contains and releases certain nutrients and helps to stabilise their availability. In a hydroponic system, however, the roots only take up nutrients from the water, so the quality of the fertilizer is essential.

Conventional houseplant fertilisers often contain organic ingredients such as humic acids or seaweed extracts. While these substances are beneficial in the soil, they can cause serious problems in hydroponic systems - clogging tubing, encouraging pathogen growth, causing odours and polluting the tank. Hydroponic Houseplant Focus is therefore designed as a pure mineral fertilizer to ensure maximum efficiency, cleanliness and health of the entire system.

Instructions for use and dosage

Shake well before use. Always use clean water and clean tools.

• Basic dosage: Mix 5 ml of fertiliser per 1 litre of clean water. Apply with each refill or complete replacement of the nutrient solution in the tank.
• For substrates with fertiliser: If you are using substrates that already contain a starter dose of fertiliser (e.g. Lechuza-Pon), use a reduced dosage of 3 ml per 1 litre of water for the first two months.
• For demanding plants: For large, established and nutrient-demanding plants, you can increase the dose up to 10 ml per 1 litre of water during the period of active growth (usually spring and summer).

Tips for best results:

• Flush the roots and substrate with clean water once a month to remove any mineral salt build-up.
• If your plants are sensitive to chlorinated water, let the tap water sit for 24 hours or mix it with rain, filtered or deionised water for best results.
