Prima Klima AC fans

An AC fan, such as the single-speed model PK100-L, is more suitable for occasional ventilation of a grow tent. In the case of the Prima Klima brand, however, these are duct fans (inline fans) with backward-curved blades and an aerodynamically optimized housing, which, considering the low price, pleasantly surprise with rapid air transport without unnecessary pressure losses.

Although a better investment is generally represented by fans with an EC motor, even in the AC fan category the German manufacturer clearly proves that high-quality workmanship in every respect deserves every class of fan. And although the mentioned model PK100-L is essentially a simple radial fan with a single speed step, there are several aspects that clearly indicate the uncompromising quality typical for Prima Klima. In short, a lot of performance for little money. So what characterizes this small and inexpensive exhaust fan (in the picture), intended for smaller growboxes?

• The plastic housing is a lightweight casing made of impact-resistant and heat-resistant polyamide.
• They did not skimp on the motor either. The MES AC motor features ball bearings and contributes to the fan's discreet operation and low electricity consumption.
• Another advantage is the integrated overheating protection.
• If you want not just a quality but the most “basic” duct fan, a disadvantage may be that this fan has no more than one speed setting. From cheaper variants, for example, the two-speed AC fan PK125-2 comes into play.

Of course it depends on individual needs and Prima Klima, as you will further see, really caters to everyone. “Basic” AC motor variants like PK-100L or PK150A are non-controlled fans.

If you are interested in AC fans with control, for example the model PK100-TC, also equipped with a quality EBM-Papst alternating motor with maintenance-free ball bearings for smooth operation and long life, already excels in the ability to regulate the rotation speed based on the current and optimal temperature. The temperature sensor on a four-meter cable (see picture) continuously monitors the temperature in the growing area, and once it exceeds the preset value, the fan speed immediately increases to ventilate the warm air from the space. After this happens, the fan speed automatically reduces to the minimum set value.

Among the long-term best-selling AC fans with thermal control are also variants labeled PK125-TC (the absolute bestseller among Prima Klima fans), PK150-TC, PK160-TC. Prima Klima also makes AC fans for effective ventilation of large cultivation spaces. Here, simple duct fans without control such as PK200-A, PK250-L1 or PK250-A1 come into consideration.

Prima Klima BLUE LINE fans

The royal range of duct fans with an EC motor and top Swiss motor was designed for continuous operation and intensive air flow.

A frequent choice for medium and larger cultivation spaces are the variants PK160-ECblue and PK250-ECblue.

And then there is a trio of robust fans designed to handle continuous and effortless—while keeping low noise emissions—an incredible airflow. These professional fans are:
