Highly porous activated carbon as the basis

This is also related to the use of activated carbons that perfectly absorb odor particles. CTC-75 carbon is a man-made product and easily solves the problem of unwanted odors in an enclosed space. If we magnify this activated carbon made from coconut shells thousands of times under a microscope (image on the left), we find that its porosity is much greater than that of commonly used activated carbon (image on the right).

Now we come to the individual product lines. Which ones are they?

Prima Klima PITPUK

The Pit Puk range represents a specific modular filtration system characterized by excellent adsorption of odor particles using pellets of highly active virgin carbon. Adsorption is the process by which gaseous, liquid or solid particles (odor particles) accumulate on a surface (the carbon layer). This type of carbon filter can be used for both intake and exhaust air. Depending on airflow, humidity level and the presence of organic compounds, expect an average service life of around two years.

The unique filtration system for odor removal consists of these parts:

• PIT: plastic flange - an impact-resistant part made of high-quality and durable nylon (polyamide). This material is also non-flammable and completely odorless.
• PUK: filter cartridge with activated carbon - the cartridges with activated carbon are easy to replace and can also be conveniently stored as needed.

Now we come to the individual product lines. Which ones are they?

Prima Klima Eco Line

The ECO Line filters provide reliable odor removal and offer an excellent price-to-performance ratio, which is also the main reason they have long been among the market favorites. An ideal choice if you don’t know which odor filter to choose, because ECO Line filters are simply a timeless classic and you can choose from a wide range of variants. To ensure optimal air filtration, every filter from the ECO series has a 3cm layer of highly active carbon with a surface area >1200 m²/g and the same quality as professional Industry LINE filters.

Prima Klima Eco filters cannot be refurbished. Their service life is typically around 9 months. In some cases it can reach one year. As with any filter, it can again be affected by the factors mentioned above (airflow and humidity of the filtered air, contamination, etc.).

Prima Klima Industry Line

The premium INDUSTRY range includes professional carbon filters with a pre-filter against dust that will satisfy even the needs of demanding customers. Refillable filters are characterized by a 4 cm thick bed of highly active CTC75 carbon with a surface area >1200 m²/g and a robust, stable steel construction. What can you expect if you pay extra for them?

• Extra long contact time between the air and the activated carbons. It’s simple: longer contact allows better air purification. The result is an exceptional degree of odor absorption.
• Above-standard longevity of these filters typically ranges between 1.5 – 2 years, again depending on the factors mentioned above.

Prima Klima CARBOCONE
