What is Unleash?

Unleash is a preparation containing a patented mix of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) intended to inoculate the root zone (rhizosphere) with beneficial microorganisms. Rhizobacteria increase nutrient availability to plants, resulting in faster growth and greater tolerance to abiotic stresses.

Most products designed to support microbial life in the rhizosphere can only be used when growing in soil or soil-based substrates, because the microbes they contain are unable to survive in nutrient solutions or hydroponic substrates. Unleash, however, is revolutionary in that with regular use it is effective not only in soil and soil-based substrates but also in hydroponic cultivation in soilless or inert growing media.

How does Unleash work?

To properly understand the mechanism by which the microbes contained in Unleash promote plant growth and nutrient uptake, we must familiarize ourselves with the concept of the rhizosphere. The rhizosphere is the soil immediately adjacent to plant roots. The rhizosphere differs from the surrounding soil by containing many times more microorganisms, bacteria, archaea and mycorrhizal fungi that form symbiotic relationships with plants and help them obtain nutrients from the soil. Microorganisms are attracted to the roots by exudates that plants release into the surrounding soil.

The rhizosphere is a complex environment full of intricate relationships between plants and microorganisms that can easily be disrupted. This can occur, for example, when large amounts of fertilizers or pesticides or fungicides are used. In the case of hydroponic, inert or soilless substrates, the number of microorganisms in the root zone is minimal or zero. The root inoculant Unleash restores populations of beneficial microorganisms in the rhizosphere in all of the above cases, and you will see increased yields.

The root inoculant Unleash acts as a biostimulant that makes nutrients available to plant roots. The microbes contained in Unleash act directly in the rhizosphere, facilitating nutrient uptake by the roots and allowing plants to focus all their energy on growth.

Especially with highly intensive growing techniques, root burn is a common problem. The microbes contained in Unleash process nitrogen, phosphorus and micronutrients from fertilizers and separate them from bound salts that cause root scorch. In addition, adding the root inoculant to the nutrient solution helps chemically convert nitrogen and other nutrients into forms more readily available to plants, resulting in increased nutrient uptake.

• Helps prevent transplant shock

Plants establish relationships with microbes in the rhizosphere from the very beginning of their growth, and this symbiosis is disrupted every time you transplant them. It then takes some time for plants to effectively obtain nutrients from the new substrate again. Using a root inoculant before transplanting helps speed up this process and reduces the downtime caused by transplant shock.

How to use Unleash

Application instructions for conventional agriculture

1. Apply Unleash at a rate of 1 liter per acre, split into two application doses of 500 ml each.
2. Shake the product well first and then mix 500 ml of Unleash with 35 liters of non-chlorinated water.
3. Let the solution stand for 30 minutes to 4 hours before application. The solution can be applied up to 3 days after mixing.
4. Perform the second application three weeks after the first treatment.
5. Irrigate the soil with the solution gradually so that the product is distributed evenly.
6. After application, continue watering with water for 2–6 hours so the bacteria reach the root zone.

Note: The root inoculant Unleash is sold as a concentrate and must be mixed in a clean non-metal container with non-chlorinated water for activation. Using more Unleash than recommended will not harm plants.

Application instructions for hydroponic systems

Use the root inoculant Unleash only with non-chlorinated water. The product is suitable for use with all soilless substrates, indoor and outdoor.

1. For a standard application use 1 ml of product per 4 liters of water.
2. Let the solution rest for 30 minutes to 4 hours before application.
3. Apply Unleash regularly once every 2 weeks throughout the plant life cycle.

For optimal results apply Unleash as follows:

• Soil/clones inoculation: 2 ml per 4 liters of water.
• Transplanted plants: 2 ml per 4 liters of water.
• Vegetative: 1 ml per 4 liters of water.
• Flowering: 2 ml per 4 liters of water.
