Green House Feeding: mineral or biological powdered plant feed
A very simple and quick application, high nutrient concentration and great results. In short, these are the reasons why more and more growers prefer to use fertilizers and supplements in powder form. Among other things, they praise the high quality of the flowers with intense aroma and higher yields.
Do you always grow with bio nutrition, or do you prefer mineral plant nutrition? The answer to this question will determine which products from the innovative Dutch manufacturer will pleasantly surprise you in practice and what the specifics are for their correct use. Let’s get to it!

What are the advantages of powdered fertilizer?
Many growers and gardeners have used liquid fertilizers for years, and powdered plant nutrition represents an experiment and a step into the unknown for them. The frequent question customers ask us is answered by the following summary of their benefits:
- Solubility and uptake
- Lower cost for complete nutrition
- Easier transport and storage
- Easier to use (ideal for beginners!)
- Longer shelf life
It is worth adding that with powdered plant nutrition from Green House Feeding you can also rely on consistent quality as well as on raw materials sourced from Switzerland and Germany.
Now we will focus on the differences between mineral and the 100% natural range of these unique fertilizers and additives. In both cases, their application is also supported by dosage charts.
Green House Bio Feeding (organic powdered plant nutrition)
We support ecology, so let’s start with the purely organic range.
- BioGrow
- BioGrow needs to be mixed into the substrate.
- The basic organic powdered grow fertilizer can be used in soil, coco and other growing media by mixing it into the substrate.
- It can be used immediately after transplanting a young plant, or you can add it later as a “top dressing” which you mix into the top layer of the substrate.
- Nutrients in the growing medium are released over a period of 8 weeks, but the more pre-fertilized your soil mix is, the less of this nutrient-rich powder you will use in the first weeks. The dosage charts will again guide you.
- Seedlings and young plants up to 3 weeks old require only half the dose.
- If the vegetative period is longer, we recommend a second application.
- BioGrow can form a mycelium of a beneficial fungus on the surface of the substrate, improving microbial life inside the substrate. It dissolves minerals that are initially not available to plants. This fungus disappears on its own after a few days and it would be a mistake to remove it from the substrate.
- BioBloom
- When it comes to use, the same rules apply for the basic organic powdered bloom fertilizer as for BioGrow.
- Thanks to the high concentration and excellent nutrient availability in BioBloom powder, a single application is sufficient for 8 weeks of flowering.
- Bio Enhancer
- Mix Bio Enhancer with water and give it to your plants regularly with every watering throughout the entire growing cycle in combination with Green House Feeding bio nutrition for growth or flowering.
- Thanks to humic acids and seaweed extract, you will support the root system, the plant’s overall resilience, and the quality and volume of the final harvest. That’s what we call a universal organic powdered supplement.

Green House Powder Feeding (mineral base fertilizers and powdered additives)
- All products from the mineral Green House Powder Feeding range can be used for any growing medium.
- All are worth considering, whether it’s basic nutrition for growth or flowering, or for example the bestseller Green House Powder Feeding Booster, which is much more effective than most liquid boosters.
- The application of mineral nutrition is quite different from the organic range mentioned above, and therefore before using a mineral powdered fertilizer we again recommend consulting the dosage charts.
- If you use hydroponic or aeroponic systems and a growing medium other than soil, we also recommend precise pH and EC meters. Reliable measuring equipment will give you full control over the nutrient solution concentration so you can enjoy the results that are so easy to achieve with these fertilizers.
- Because using the mineral Green House Powder Feeding range is not as intuitive as the Bio feeding range, here is a guide on how to easily mix a mineral-based nutrient solution:
- Check the pH and the EC of the water and make sure its temperature is between 18–22 degrees Celsius.
- You should also check whether your water contains enough calcium.
- If the EC is 0.0 (when using reverse osmosis water or rainwater), you must add calcium to the water before adding the powdered fertilizer. Then ensure the EC level rises to 0.3–0.4 EC.
- Add the Powder Feeding. Mix the solution well for 2–3 minutes, then measure the EC again. Repeat if necessary until you reach the desired value.
- Once you reach the desired EC, wait 15–30 minutes.
- Then measure the pH and adjust it if necessary using pH up or pH down – mix well for 2–3 minutes and wait another 15–30 minutes before measuring again.
- Once you reach the desired values, give your plants luxurious nutrition!
- A big advantage of the mineral Green House Powder Feeding range is that when you mix a larger quantity of a highly concentrated nutrient solution, you can safely store it for several months.
